Harmony Day Celebration Saturday, March 23 2pm to 5pm Felltimber Community Centre Celebrate Harmony Day with Wodonga’s multicultural communities. There’ll be a barbecue, cultural dishes, and fun activities. All welcome for this free, family friendly event.

Felltimber Community EXPO Tuesday, May 7 11.30am to 1.30pm Felltimber Community Centre Join the fun at the Felltimber Community EXPO where local services and activities will be on showcase. Learn about the programs on offer at Felltimber, but also the supports available locally. A free barbecue lunch will be available along with plenty of activities for all.

Felltimber Sunday Breakfasts Sundays, April 28, May 26 and June 30 9am to 10am Felltimber Community Centre We will be holding FREE Sunday Breakfasts on the last Sunday of each month by the lake (weather permitting).

There will also be activities each session to keep the kids busy so come and enjoy some tasty food and great company in the beautiful surrounds. All welcome.

Ukulele and Song writing workshop with Captain Pete Wednesday during school terms, Term 2, April 24 to June 26 5pm to 6.30pm Baranduda Community Centre Join Captain Pete on this Uke and Songwriting journey! In this amazing songwriting workshop Pete will be teaching kids how to write their own songs and explore creative songwriting moments.

They will discover how to take ideas from start to finish. Writing songs is a powerful way for kids to express ideas, emotions, relationships, stories and opinions. At the end of the term the kids will have produced their very own songbook using their illustraton’s and a CD with three songs.

Term 2 Sewing for Kids Friday, May 24 and June 7 4pm to 6pm Learn to sew make your own accessories and projects without a pattern. Your child will build up their basic sewing machine skills by making simple items. They may bring their own sewing machine or use one of ours. Bookings essential.

Felltimber Term 2 Community Cooking Wednesdays, April 24 to June 26 5pm to 7pm Supported by the Albury Wodonga Regional Food share, Community Cooking provides a relaxing environment where individuals are provided with a free meal, whilst learning new cooking skills with great company.

Home Fire Safety with CFA

Craft ‘n’ Cuppa

Tuesday, May 28 10.30am to 12pm and 5.30pm to 7pm Felltimber Community Centre Country Fire Authority will be visiting with their interactive hands on kitchen. Kids Fishing Fun

Fish-a-thon Saturday, May 18 from 2pm to 5pm (Sunset approx. 5.15 pm) Community members of all ages are welcome to come and join in the fun at our next Free Fish-a-thon event. This is also a celebration of all the skills learnt by the students in the Kids’ Fishing Fun program which will run Wednesday May 1 to May 15 from 5pm to 6pm. A FREE barbecue dinner and drinks will be provided with a range of workshops on how to fish, so if you don’t know where to start, don’t despair as we will have plenty of help available. Please bring your own fishing gear if possible, but there will be some supplied on the day. Fishing licenses not required.

Wednesdays, May 1 to May 15 5pm to 6pm With funding from Fisheries Victoria we will be running the Kids Fishing Fun program where children can learn the art of fishing in a hands on and interactive way. The sessions will lead up to the free Fish-a-thon community event where participants can bring their family and friends and put into practice what they have learnt.

Closing the Gap on IT Monday, April 29, May 13, May 27 and June 24 (2.15pm to 3pm) Monday, May 6, May 20, June 3, June 17 (12.15pm to 1pm) Are you someone who struggles to understand new technology? Bring along your laptop, mobile phone or smart device and learn some tips from students from Catholic College Wodonga. Receive one-onone tutoring and learn at your own pace.

Felltimber Term 2 Grandparent Playgroup

Grandparent Knowhow

Wednesdays, April 24 to June 26 9.30am to 11.30am If you care for your grandchildren then why not head to our Playgroup designed especially for Grandparents. Let the children socialise and enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, whilst you enjoy a cuppa and a chat with other grandparents.

Do you have skills to share with the younger generations that can also support your community? The centre hosts the Catholic College students throughout the year.

We are on the lookout for a teacher who has experience teaching basic English to Cultural and Linguistically diverse community members. If you feel you could assist, or have other skills to offer please contact the centre for more information.

Tai Chi for Health and Relaxation

Relaxation Meditation Thursdays, May 2 to May 23 6.30pm (newcomers), 7pm to 8pm (meditation) Be guided through simple meditations that relax the mind and body and enjoy the journey to a deep level of relaxation and contentment. Laughter Yoga Thursdays, May 2 to June 27 9.30am to 10am We all know laughter feels good, but did you know that it is also a proven form of complementary medicine that vastly improves our physical and psychological health. This is a great opportunity where you can de-stress and gain a more cheerful attitude, an immediate reduction in stress levels, and feel so much lighter for the experience. Clear your mind and energise your body as you experience ancient simple Tai Chi moving meditations drawn from nature. Highly qualified tutor, Carol Smith will guide you through the sessions and ensure you have fun while building core strength. Program will only run with sufficient numbers.
