This results in improved mental and physical health, better engagement with the world around them, increased responsibility, courage and so much more. Debut Private Showroom Felltimber Community Centre Monday, July 5 to Thursday, July 8 9am to 4pm Cost: $5 per person. Planning your deb ball and looking for a dress to wear? There are more than 50 debutante dresses for you to choose from at the Felltimber Community Centre. The best part of all? They are free* to hire. During the second week of the winter school holidays, book a time in our Debut Private Showroom to look through the entire collection of dresses and try on your favourite ones. Plus, be treated like royalty with mocktails on arrival and a sweet treat. It’s the perfect occasion to get together with a girlfriend or someone special. Bring along your laptop, mobile phone or smart device and learn some tips from students in the Catholic College Wodonga youth ministry class. Receive one-on-one tutoring and learn at your own pace. Participants can also find support using the free Be Connected online training program, which is an Australian government initiative, committed to increasing the confidence, skills and online safety of older Australians. Grandparent Know-how Tuesdays weekly. July 20, August 3, August 17, August 31, September 14 - 12.15pm to 1pm July 27, August 10, August 24, September 7 - 2.15pm to 3pm Cost: Free Would you like to help the community and pass down your skills to the younger generation? The centre hosts the Catholic College Wodonga youth ministry students throughout the year who assist in programs and activities that support the community. We are currently looking to engage a new volunteer to support in creating knitted blankets to donate, and nurturing the garden with produce shared with the community. Community Cooking Wednesdays weekly commencing July 14 (excluding school holidays). 5.30pm to 7pm Cost: Gold coin optional Come and enjoy a meal with others in a relaxed environment while we provide you with a free meal for you and/or your family. Learn and share cooking skills with the help of our passionate community cooking facilitator. This program is a mix of social connection, food security and skill sharing all whilst enjoying a ‘family meal’ type of environment. Supported by the Albury Wodonga Regional Food Share. REGULAR PROGRAMS - TERM THREE Movement to music with Murray Conservatorium Wednesdays fortnightly, July 21, August 4 and 18, September 1 and 15, 9am to 10am Cost: $10 per session The centre welcomes the Murray Conservatorium to deliver a child-centred and play-based program allowing children to be actively engaged in their musical learning. Children will be exposed to a variety of instruments and will have the ongoing opportunity to play, sing and move to a variety of music styles, encouraging the learning of musical concepts. Art Class - Unlock the Artist in You Thursdays weekly, 6pm to 8pm Cost: $10 per session. Tea and coffee provided. We supply easels, pencils, A3 paper and limited acrylics. All other supplies BYO. Self-guided adult art sessions. Enjoy the company of like-minded creative individuals in the making process. Learn different techniques from each other as you share your love of art in this two-hour session. Friday Night Socials is all about getting together and getting social. This is a great opportunity to connect with others in the community and build some lifelong friendships. This activity is part of the Upper Murray Regional Neighbourhood House Network Behind the Scenes at the Neighbourhood House project, funded and supported by the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation through the Prevention Partnership Program. The Behind the Scenes project aims to reduce gambling related harm by creating opportunities for people to connect and participate in community activity.
