Stardust + The Mission P RE SE N T ED BY T HE SPACE COMPANY
T HU R SDAY, MA R C H 3, 7.3 0 PM Stardust tells the story of bandleader and trumpet player Col Brain. Before he died, Col placed his most prized life possessions into a cupboard and locked it, never to be opened again. But what was inside? Told by his grandson, award-winning ABC presenter and performer Joel Carnegie, Stardust is a heart-warming musical quest to uncover what Col wanted us to know about his life by the things he left behind. The Mission follows “Fighting Gunditjmara” man Allan McDonald off to war. As one of the first Aboriginal soldiers from Victoria to enlist, Allan fought at Gallipoli and Beersheba, only to be denied a soldier’s settlement upon return and forced from his traditional land. Told by his great, great nephew, acclaimed Gunditjmara actor Tom Molyneux, The Mission tells the truth of Uncle Allan’s struggle - fighting for country, for love and for justice. Both shows will also feature music from the Wodonga Brass Band. Interval entertainment and complimentary nibbles provided.

Professor Lexi Con has curated a curious collection of her favourite words (one for every letter of the alphabet) with each word providing Professor Noel Edge with an inspirational jumping off point for 26 quirky scientific demonstrations – that squish and squirt, float and fly, erupt and explode. Together, this dad-joke quipping, prank-pulling pair of polished professors strut their stuff in a performance that’s equal parts explosive, messy, spectacular, hilarious, fascinating and gross. And if things weren’t exciting enough, every show is completely different, with audiences determining the order in which the letters are revealed and explored. Plus, did we mention, this is a race? The plucky pair of professors have just 52 minutes to complete their alphabetical, scientifical countdown. That’s just two minutes per experiment! Will they make it in time?

Lior & Domini - Animal in Hiding PRESEN T ED BY RAZ MUSIC
FR I DAY, NOVE M B E R 1 1 , 7.30PM Animal in Hiding is a collaboration between one of Australia’s most established and critically acclaimed singer-songwriters Lior, together with emerging artist and exciting new voice on the Australian music scene Domini Forster. It is the fruit of a creative partnership developed over six years touring together. Initially Domini toured as Lior's support act, then as a guest vocalist and now as co-writer on their debut EP Animal in Hiding. While Lior and Domini began writing the songs in late 2019, much of the material was developed during Melbourne’s long lockdown, over Zoom from their respective homes. The title track, originally written about the isolation of winter, became the prophetic seed of the project. Animal in Hiding features songs that are rooted in intimate storytelling. Underpinned by intricate guitar, Lior and Domini’s close vocal harmonies are the focal point of the songs, harking back to the iconic folk duos of the 1960s. Pre- and post-show entertainment.
