Gisborne-based artist Joanne Mott has created a visually-alluring exhibition which shines a spotlight on the significant social and environmental impacts of globalisation. Traditionally used to record territories and borders, coloured map pins are used to reconstruct and distort world globe compositions, to sculpturally separate and isolate countries from continents and neighbours and to draw a site-specific wall diagram linking every country in the world in one continuous chain.
