A little girl seeks revenge, a real woman moves on! Reham Khan, former wife of chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, penned her autobiography with shocking revelations. The revelations are more than salacious and slanderous content for PTI chairperson Imran Khan along with other PTI officials. it has invoked a contentious social media campaign against Ms. khan and her book, soon to be published. PTI has recently, issued solid proofs of hacked emails of Reham’s nexus with PMLN to allegedly malign the Imran Khan’s character and reputation and PTI’s election campaign. Reham on the other hand counteractively, has defended herself by the series of tweets. Politics has been a dirty game but in Pakistan its filthy. Reham Khan’s book is also a block of this vicious political blockchain allegedly backed by PMLN However, Reham has been served a legal notice by four persons, including cricket star Akram, after she made sensational disclosures about their sex lives in her upcoming book. The notice sent by Reham's first husband Dr Ijaz Rehman, cricketer Akram, a British businessman, Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari, and Imran's Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf media coordinator Anila Khawaja, claims that Reham defamed them in her autobiography, the manuscript of which was leaked online recently. In Pakistan, despite being a country where a woman was twice elected as Prime Minister, gender equality in the political landscape is still a distant dream for a vast majority of women, who are often not even allowed to cast their votes in certain parts of the country.
Formal exclusion of women from the mainstream politics is a historic and global phenomenon. Despite several international struggles, conspicuous conventions and commitments to gender equality, the gender gap with only 19 percent women in the world parliaments is obvious and lamentable. The gender imbalance in democracies around the world is a continuing challenge for the international community.
A better democracy is a democracy where women do not only have the right to vote and to elect but to be elected ! 14
WOMEN TIMES
In Pakistan, there is no constitutional bar on the political participation of women as voters or as candidates. However, women’s representation in the national legislature has never moved beyond 10% until 2001 when the gender quota was restored by the military regime at the local, provincial and national level. Through a legislative provision 33 percent seats were reserved for women in local government and 17 percent in the national and provincial assemblies and senate.
Pakistan was ranked 55th out of 86 in 2012 on the Social Institutions and Gender Index. The 2011 Human Development Index (HDI) score for the country was 0.504, placing it in 145th place (out of 187 countries). The Gender Inequality Index score was 0.373 and Global Gender Gap Index rating for 2011 0.5583, placing it in 133rd place (out of a total of 135 countries).
It is a positive change that our country and other countries in the region, are making by giving a chance to women!
However, Pakistan is performing relatively well on the women’s political empowerment indicator because of the gender quota in legislatures. It is ranked 52nd on the political empowerment indicator in the Global Gender Gap Index. Women’s exclusion in the formal political processes is the result of the interplay of multiple structural, institutional and functional obstacles that are present in the country. The bifercation of public and private spaces indicates politics as a male prerogative. When women enter the public space of politics, they have to constantly confront
male resistance and defend their presence as a legitimate right. The institution of segregation as the linchpin of women’s gender role in society is maintained through the concept of generally restricting women’s mobility outside the private arena of the home. Such attitudes are sustained by feudal and tribal patriarchal norms and practices that maintain and pose a formidable challenge to women’s participation in politics. Another crucial institution, Political parties are the key actors in facilitating or impeding women’s participation in politics. However, political parties are dominated by males from the elite class, and this, together with dynastic control over leadership positions has discouraged democratic practices within the mainstream political parties and contributed to blocking women’s entry in politics. Side by side, low social, economic and political investment in

building women’s human capital defines women’s own self-perception and the perception of politics. Women often lack education, economic resources, confidence, knowledge, ambition and political skills to enter into politics. These personal and psychological factors undermine women’s capacity to participate in governance structures, and together with women’s familial responsibilities leave little time and space for them to aspire for political roles. The attitude of the leadership and the culture within political parties generally mirror the male patriarchal attitudes that prevail in the private sphere of the home. These cultural and structural factors serve to disenfranchise women voters and result in lower turnout of female voters. However, Women’s equal participation in politics is their basic right. They constitute nearly half of the total population of the country. Their contribution through their triple roles of productive, reproductive and community management is vital to the development of the economy and society. Their active participation in the decision making processes, determining how resources are to be used and in setting national priorities will not only improve the lot of women,it will also deepen democracy and strengthen the process of development in the country.

1. How 17% representation of women secure/Protect the right of 48 % population of women? Look, it’s a male dominating society but women should start participating in politics actively. Whatever, the count of representation exists. Women should make use out of it.
She is a Core Committee Member Central Advisory Council, VP Punjab Woman Wing, Candidate NA-191 DGK, Youth Spokesperson, Member Punjab Council. Zartaj Gull, after getting her early education in her native land – kpk(NWFP) pursued her higher education in Lahore. She attended Queen Marry college for her secondary education then enrolled at NCA Lahore for her graduation and post- graduation studies. Zartaj Gul Wazir is a very active woman politician in PTI. She believes that every woman is unique in her own way and she has a certain vision to work for the empowerment of women of this country.
2. What do you think is the reason of lower turnout of women voters? Low social, economic and political investment in building women’s capacities and abilities defines women’s participation of politics. So, women should never underestimate themselves and actively participate in political activities without the pressure of the male members of their families. 3. What is your message to women of Pakistan to properly, exercise their right to vote? Women’s equal participation in politics is their basic right. They constitute nearly half of the total population of the country. They have all the rights to select and elect the candidate of their own choice. On, 25th July they should go out and make the best use of their right to vote.
“ We need to understand that women are not commodity. They should join political parties for representation of their rights and go out to exercise their right to vote. After the women have gained the right to vote it’s important to exercise it in an informed way. As women we should stand up for each other. If they support me, it’s understood, I will protect their rights in the parliament ”

1. How 17% representation of women secure/ Protect the right of 48 % population of women? Election Commission of Pakistan increased the women general seat representation quota to 5% and all the political parties can become key facilitators by giving them chance to become empowered but all the political parties along with PTI didn’t pay any attention towards it. It's cruel injustice in the right of women. I have been working in PTI’s election cell and I know that nothing has been done special for the proper working of women election candidates as well as women voters. 2. What do you think is the reason of lower turnout of women voters? The broad frameworks built on the sexual division of employment that defines women’s role exclusively in the private arena of the home is one of the primary

reason of lower turnout of women voters. Alongside, women are not motivated and encouraged to go out of their homes to vote the candidate of their own choice. 3. Being women, do you face any discrimination in party support? Women are being discriminated wholly, by political parties when they even not meet the quota reserved for women by election commission of Pakistan. 4. What is your message to women of Pakistan to properly, exercise their right to vote? Women are not commodity they are free human being as men they have all the rights to vote and elect the candidate of their own choice in the parliament regardless of the choice of their husbands or male members of the family.
1. How 17% representation of women secure/Protect the right of 48 % population of women? Women’s exclusion in the formal political processes and their minimal participation is the result of the interplay of multiple structural, institutional and functional obstacles that are present in the country. Election commission of Pakistan should increase the general seat quota of women from 5% to 10%. in order to meet the women’s right of equal representation. For this purpose, women are required to
fight and struggle for their common rights. 2. What do you think is the reason of lower turnout of women voters? Low social, economic and political investment in building women’s human capital is the foremost reason followed by rise in gender-based violence, harassment and bullying. The other one of the primary reasons of lower turnout of women voters is that they are financially dependent on their men who don’t want to see them empowered. The
other big technical reason is that women in our society are not educated enough to have their national identity cards results in low voter registration of women. 3. What is your message to women of Pakistan to properly, exercise their right to vote? Women vote is more important than men’s vote. If they are not pressurized by their men, they in the care of their children’s education and better future elect the representative on objective and unbiased basis. WOMEN TIMES

1. How 17% representation of women secure/Protect the right of 48 % population of women? There should be more representation of women in the parliament and the reserved quota must be increased. It should be at least 33% in order to represent almost 50% population of women.

How 17% representation of women secure/Protect the right of 48 % population of women?
Overall, it’s a male chauvinist society. Men are controlling everything, they are dominating outside home as well as within the premises of home, which is totally, a women domain. They don’t let their women to go out and caste vote. Even, they don’t let their women to have their national identity cards.
My message to women is that it’s a crucial time on Pakistan. They should wisely choose their representative, who will be able to protect right of their education and their children’s education. Come out of homes and vote to your representative and be a part in the decision making process.
Look, first we need to increase our literacy rate that will automatically, increase the awareness in people that women who constitute half of the population have the same and equal right to elect and to be elected.

Lower turnout of women voters is depressing but again its linked with education, awareness and mental enlightenment. We hope to see a better change in Pakistan, where women will equally, take part in electing their representatives.
Vote is a sacred covenant. women for the sake of better future of their children and even generations should go out on 25th of July to cast their vote. Most of all exercising the right of vote wisely and properly is a requirement of the time to see any change in near future.

Despite the numerous chemotherapy sessions and critical surgeries, her throat cancer had recurred lately. Owing to these medical complications, she suffered a massive cardiac arrest on 15 June, 2018 and lapsed into coma. Due to NHL (Non Hodgkin Lymphoma), she went through many painful sessions of chemotherapy and radiation for her aggressive carcinoma. She was admitted to Harley Street Clinic, and was suffering from increasing dehydration and extreme fatigue throughout her stay at the Harley. Due to consecutive radio-therapies, she felt nauseated all the time with extremely poor appetite ultimately succumbing to fatal cardiac arrest. Her husband, Mian Nawaz Sharif, and daughter, Maryam Nawaz, flew from Pakistan to attend to her on the occasion of Eid but found her unconscious upon arrival. Doctors were unable to revive her, hence put her on artificial life-support. Owing to the court hearings and corruption charges leveled against the entire Sharif clan, both father, Nawaz Sharif, and daughter, Maryam Nawaz, shuttle between Pakistan and UK quite often. And they can continue indefinitely with this condition of hers as long as they wish or encash. According to the sources, she suffered from multiple organ failures as well including brain death. Pertinent to note here, doctors had already clearly conveyed her condition to the family. Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that the health condition of his spouse Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was very critical as she was still placed on ventilator and needed prayers of the nation. “When I came to London fourfive days ago on Eid holidays, Kulsoom was in the hospital and was unconscious. Since then i was unable to talk to her”, he told a crowded Pakistani media here outside the Harley Street, the clinic where his wife was under treatment. He said his wife was under treatment for cancer but suddenly also suffered a cardiac arrest which further deteriorated her health and since then she was unconscious and placed on the ventilator (Life supporting machine)”. “I feel regret that my wife is in critical condition and needs my presence and care of her but I am not getting this opportunity”, he remarked. Former Prime Minister
Nawaz Sharif was flanked by former Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar. He thanked the nation for praying the good health of his wife Begum Kalsoom Nawaz during the eid prayers. He said he was facing a difficult period of his life. Earlier, talking to media Hussain Nawaz son of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said his mother Begum Kulsoom Nawaz’s health condition was critical. He said doctors had declared her as “Gravely sick and high-risk patient” while she was still unconscious. Hussain Nawaz , however, said “doctors feel that her vital signs are stable”. Former Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif who was also present with Hussain Nawaz in his brief remarks said the health condition of his sister in law Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was very critical and requested the nation to pray for her good health. It may be mentioned here that Begum Kalsoom Nawaz suffered a cardiac arrest late Thursday and was shifted to Harley Street Clinic’s intensive care unit and placed on a ventilator (Life support machine). According to hospital sources, doctors were making all their efforts by providing Begum Kulsoom Nawaz best medical treatment and greatest remedy. We wish for her recovery soon! WOMEN TIMES

The Peruvians are there in huge numbers (possibly up to 80,000), the Senegalese danced their way through their country’s first match, and the Japanese cleaned the stadium up after the national team’s opening game. England fans have, however, been far less noticeable than one would normally expect. Whether it’s because of the Skripal poisonings in Salisbury or the threat of Russian hooligan
violence, ahead of the tournament England’s fans had only bought 31,000 World Cup tickets between them. Even so, this still placed them in a list of the top 11 countries purchasing tickets. Teefa In Trouble, Zafar’s much-awaited Pakistani film debut, launched its music in his hometown Lahore. The actor-cum-musician — and now movie producer — ensured that it became a lot more than just an album-unveiling routine, punctuated by odd speeches by the artistes. For one thing, an array of celebrities showed up at the event including fashion designers HSY and Kamiar Rokini, pop singers Hadiqa Kiani, Ali Azmat, Amanat Ali, and Rabi Peerzada; art curator Sanam Taseer, actors Resham and Ayesha Sana, and last but not the least, heart-throb Fawad Khan who expectedly drew the most whoops and cheers upon his entry into the hall, that lasted through his rushed walk up to his front-row seat. Of course, leading the pack was Teefa …’s main faces — Maya Ali and Zafar, as well as the supporting cast Asma Abbas, Nayyar Ijaz, and Marhoom Ahmad Bilal whose ‘Billu Butt’ is proving to be a standout character in the movie trailers. Perhaps, the biggest surprise of the night was the presence of noted Bollywood writer-director Shaad Ali who had also directed Zafar in Kill Dil (2014). It was revealed that he had flown in especially for the occasion.

Azaadi had immense potential to not only be a commercial success but also strike a chord with those vying for Kashmir’s liberation. But writer and director Imran Malik doesn’t fully deliver in either capacity. With an inadequate script, Azaadi doesn’t quite take off. There’s no arc for any of the characters, except perhaps Sonya Hussyn’s Zara, and the film falls flat so much so that by the climax, you’re simply not interested. What could have been a varying degree of emotion and compassion turns into exhaustion. The second half lingers on to no real plot turn. There is little to no focus on moments that could’ve made the Kashmir struggle more humane, such as Zara’s metamorphosis or Azad’s (Moammar Rana) on-screen dynamic with his father (portrayed to excellence by veteran actor Nadeem Baig). Some of the scenes are cut as if they’re straight from a failed 90s film, particularly the combats. A couple sitting next to me wanted to leave with the sheer pain of appallingly shot, edited and choreographed action sequences. Overall, a lot is (or perhaps isn’t) left to imagination. Who funds the mujahids? Why is child marriage trivialised to an extent where it actually becomes a romantic entanglement? And most importantly, do the inhabitants of Indian-occupied Kashmir truly wish to join Pakistan? The one-dimensional narrative focuses on propaganda despite developing some

gripping sub-plots that are left in thin air. However, Azaadi look great. Australian cinematographer Ben Jasper captures Kashmir and the actors well in a stunning backdrop (excluding a multiplex in Karachi shown as London – the audience knows better). Sonya looks the part and the camera loves her. Though her wardrobe doesn’t gel with the war-zone that’s been created, she’s a blooming star. Moammar makes a comeback after years and we now know why. He seems to think shouting is the only way to motivate his apprentices and reminds you of a time when action heroes were required to just punch a couple of bad guys to get the girl. Despite some powerful dialogues, the actor does little to place himself back on the map. He insists you believe a faked baritone voice and well, we could’ve done without that extremely cringe-worthy scene he shares with Sonya… shirtless. Their chemistry, however, isn’t as insipid. In fact, their final sequence together has both performing their absolute best and truly moves you, as should have the rest of the film.

Foundation for teens is not necessary. While it can clog your pores, it will also look overdone. Skip the foundation and use a concealer on your blemishes only. Lightly dust on some loose powder over your entire face to even out your skin tone, control oil, and set the concealer.
PIMPLES & BLEMISHES Teenagers have different skin care and makeup needs than women. At what age should a teen begin a skin care regimen? Skin care should actually start when they are preteens, as early as the age of 10 or 11. Hormones start to kick in and blemishes may begin to appear. As you mature, your skin care needs will change, as your skin does. Pay special attention to what products you are using and if there are any undesirable effects taking place. What makes your skin look radiant one month may cause blemishes and breakouts the next.
Acne is the #1 skin care concern for teens. Keep your face and hair clean, wash your hands frequently, and keep them away from your face. There are many products available on the market today for acne prevention and cures, and they are much more effective than years ago. Once you begin experiencing problems, take action to avoid lifetime scarring.
MAKEUP FOR TEENAGERS
Most teenage girls begin wearing light makeup around the ages of 12-13 as they become more aware of their appearance. As a teen, your makeup should look natural and enhance your facial features. Don't overdo it, this will only make you look silly. With a few simple, inexpensive products, you can play up your finest features and look great! Keep your makeup light for school. You don't need to use it on every facial feature you have! Mix and match to find out what looks best on you. For parties, you may want to add a little more makeup to add some glam. Make sure you blend it in well with your fingers or a cosmetics brush. Check it in bright light when you're finished.

EYE MAKEUP You may not be interested in eye shadow until you're a little older. If so, that's great. When you do begin wearing it, keep it light and use any trendy metallics and sparkles sparingly. They can flake off into your eyes and cause irritation. Eye shadow does not have to match your eyes, however, earth tones (tan, brown, gray) are very complementary to blue, brown and hazel eyes. When you begin using mascara, brown works best for both blondes and brunettes. Black is probably too harsh, especially in the daytime. If you think brown isn't dark enough, try brownish-black. Waterproof mascara may be necessary for sports and outdoor activities in warm weather. It stays on longer and doesn't run, but it's harder to take off. It's best to keep mascara and all makeup to a minimum and you won't have to worry about undesired smearing. If you're going to use an eyeliner, a pencil liner looks more natural than liquid liner. Learn to apply it with a steady hand for straight lines, and blot it with a tissue if you get it on too dark.

These Chicken Fajita Kebabs are a new summertime staple! We all love the sizzling skillet seared chicken fajitas, then there’s the simple sheet pan fajitas and the lazy slow cooker fajitas, but this version has that fire kissed goodness and it’s served as bite size pieces on a skewer so it’s much funner to eat! From the award-winning translators of Anna Karenina and The Brothers Karamazov comes this magnificent new translation of Tolstoy's masterwork. War and Peace broadly focuses on Napoleon’s invasion of Russia in 1812 and follows three of the most well-known characters in literature: Pierre Bezukhov, the illegitimate son of a count who is fighting for his inheritance and yearning for spiritual fulfillment; Prince Andrei Bolkonsky, who leaves his family behind to fight in the war against Napoleon; and Natasha Rostov, the beautiful young daughter of a nobleman who intrigues both men. A s Napoleon’s army invades, Tolstoy brilliantly follows characters from diverse backgrounds—peasants and nobility, civilians and soldiers—as they struggle with the problems unique to their era, their history, and their culture. And as the novel progresses, these characters transcend their specificity, becoming some of the most moving—and human—figures in world literature.
Leo Tolstoy Born to an aristocratic Russian family in 1828, Tolstoy is best known for his two longest works, War and Peace (1865–69) and Anna Karenina (1875–77), which are commonly regarded as among the finest novels ever written. War and Peace in particular seems virtually to define this form for many readers and critics.
