spent my entire adult life school, my parents thought I too late with a bad attitude.I half was But asleep. When I was in high a typical teenager, staying up at night, I tossed and turned.

I’d wake several times, feeling like a boa constrictor was wrapped around my body and I would have to get up and rearrange my nightgown so I could breathe again. Finally, I just threw it on the floor in the hopes that I would finally be able to

sleep through the night. ut the months of insomnia didn’t end. When the alarm rang in the morning, I couldn’t drag myself out of bed and I would tell my mom I was too sickB

to go to school.

Later, I read an article about restless leg syndrome (RLS), and I knew right away that was my problem. RLS is an uncontrollable urge to move your legs and when you try to control it, you experience pain. The only relief was movement. Even though I knew what the problem was, it would take more than a decade to get it treated. Throughout my life, I slept poorly, wide awake for hours in the middle of the night, it was hard to drag myself out of bed the morning. I was late to work every day. I nodded off at my desk and in meetings. I spent many days just reading blogs because I didn’t have the energy to think about work. I called in sick too often because I was just too exhausted to get out of bed.

I read everything I could find about “how to sleep better.

” Black out blinds – check. Remove distractions – check. Right bed, cool temperature, melatonin, no caffeine – check, check, check, check.

I tried every sleep hygiene hack I ever heard about including banana peel tea. Yep, I was that desperate. I finally broke down and resorted to sleeping pills, but they were inconsistent at best.

Then I heard a speaker talk about EFT (emotional freedom techniques AKA tapping). In a short 5-minute demo, I noticed my anxiety had decreased and I was hooked. I became obsessed with tapping. A few weeks into using tapping on my worries and stresses, I noticed I was sleeping better.

This led to me researching sleep so I could start a coaching business. That’s when I found CBT-I (cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia), a Harvard program considered the gold standard in treating insomnia. After implementing a few new strategies, I went from sleeping better, to curing my insomnia.

Now, with my two designations (CBT-I Coach and Conscious EFT Level 1 – 2), I transform people’s lives. And I am on a mission to help thousands of people sleep better...
