49er Update
Ladies heating up the course in May!
BY DONNA AARONS FORE-TEE NINERS 2024
Lots of golf action with the 49ers for the month of May. We started off with a fun game of only par 4s counting for prizes, followed by a day of stroke play.
Patriot Day competition on the 16th was great fun with the Stripes narrowly winning over the Stars. We all shown brightly covering the course in our red, white & blue regalia. We topped the morning off with lunch and a yummy red, white & blue dessert.
The 23rd was our inaugural Ryder Cup competition against Oakdale. Unfortunately after several close matches the trophy cup heads to Oakdale, but everyone had a wonderful time meeting new golf friends.
Coming up we have Flag Day competition, a play day of mystery partners, a Tuesday play day due to the upcoming Men’s Invitational, and a fun game of best ball.
This month’s instructional morning with Teresa covered use of our hybrids. We encourage women of all golf abilities to join us for golf, camaraderie, lunch, laughs and lively conversation.
See you out there
