Western Cabins
You’ll live in clean, air-conditioned cabins themed after the Old West. There are bathrooms and showers in or adjacent to each cabin. Every cabin has a counselor in it, along with up to 14 of your new or old friends. For campers age 9 and under, see our “Youth Camp” section.
Belly Up at the Belly Union
There’s plenty of food to choose from at Woodward West. The Belly Union Cafeteria serves three hot meals per day with lots of options to please everyone (including vegans and vegetarians). The Ball Park Grill offers a daily selection of grilled foods for lunch and dinner. Every meal offers a combination of healthy selections and kid-friendly items. Campers from 43 states and 29 countries have attended Woodward West!
p g . 4 W WW.WOODWARDWES T.COM
The camp store offers Woodward West apparel, memorabilia, and incidentals like toothpaste and shampoo. The canteen offers a variety of snack food for purchase. Campers place spending money in their camp 2 against it for their purchases so they never have “bank account” and draw to carry cash.
Health and Wellness
Woodward West has a training room adjacent to our gym and a live-in trainer is on duty during every workout. A resident nurse lives in our well-equipped infirmary. CAMPERS MUST BE COVERED BY THEIR OWN 3 MEDICAL INSURANCE.
Youth Camp
Woodward West’s Youth Camp was created to assist our youngest campers adjust to camp life. Campers ages 7 to 9 (and often older) live with a “mini mom” (girls) or a “mini dad” (boys) and have an earlier bedtime (9:30 P.M.) so they get plenty of rest. All campers age 9 and under are 4 required to participate in our Youth Camp, however older friends may request to stay with them. Feel free to call us to discuss your child’s needs.

Every summer many parents help out at Woodward West as nurses, drivers, and Youth Camp counselors. A parent’s motivation for coming to camp may vary: some are looking for a way to subsidize their child’s tuition; others may want to be close to a young child who may be leery about his or her first full week away from home. Complete job descriptions and an application are available at www.woodwardwest.com. Positions are competitive and submission of an application does not guarantee employment.
