Barnard Park Barnard Park is one of our largest parks. There are lots of things to do, including sports facilities and a playground. Freightliners Farm Freightliners City Farm is a 2.5 acres green space in the very urban London Borough of Islington. It is a small community farm where a diverse range of people take part in farming and gardening and people can visit and spend time in a countryside type environment in the city. It is an open access space which is free at point of entry supported by donations, grants and income from farm services such as the cafe and corporate team challenges. London Canal Museum At the London Canal Museum, you can see inside a narrowboat cabin, learn about the history of London’s canals, about the cargoes carried, the people who lived and worked on the waterways, and the horses that pulled their boats. Peer down into the unique heritage of a huge Victorian ice well used to store ice imported from Norway and brought by ship and canal boat to be stored. Camden Passage, Islington Camden Passage is hidden down a traffic free, cobbled back street, just off Upper Street in Islington. Since the 1950’s Camden Passage has ranked alongside Portobello, Kensington Church Street and Spitalfields as one of London’s leading antique locations, In later years the area has diversified with many new shops, boutiques, restaurants, cafes and market stalls. Camden Passage, Islington should not be confused with Camden Market or Camden Lock, which is nearby in Camden Town. Coram’s Fields Coram’s Fields is a children’s only park and playground and is open all year round for children under 16 years old. Our charity also provides services for all young people, both from the local community as well as for those visiting the area. It appears as a typical middleclass Victorian home, complete with furnishings, portraits and decorations.
