Welcome from our Principal

Hello! Welcome to Haywards Heath College

To choose where to further your education is a big decision. As such, I am passionate and committed to providing you with all the necessary information, advice and guidance about the offer to you as a prospective student here at the new Haywards Heath College. I hope this guide to applicants for September 2020 will be the start of your journey of decision making and that you will choose our college. This guide introduces you to the extensive A-level, vocational courses and professional courses on offer as a precursor to a full prospectus for the college to be published in October 2019. This will provide further details about exciting opportunities for Level 2 vocational programmes and Apprenticeships that will be available through the college. At Haywards Heath College, you will access the highest quality teaching and learning and support in meeting your individual needs in a college driven by its mission and values and a passionate community of staff. At the same time, you will have access to enriching experience to extend your learning in and out of the classroom through engagement in a broad mix of opportunities as part of your student life.

Welcome from our Chief Executive Welcome to the new Haywards Heath College, part of the Chichester College Group. As the largest college group in Sussex, we are focused on championing excellence in teaching and learning for the local area. We are committed to ensuring students at all of our colleges are at the heart of everything we do. The education you receive is our number one priority. We are very proud of the group's results, which include a 99% pass rate for A-levels at Chichester College in 2018 and our group achievement rate for 16-18 classroom-based learning was the best in Sussex in 2017/18*. This reflects the commitment and passion of our staff, who go above and beyond every day for our students. We are grateful for the support from Sir Nicholas Soames MP, the local authorities and community, all of whom have championed the need for Mid Sussex to enjoy the benefits that further education institutions can bring. And we are passionate about delivering a broad post-16 curriculum for students across the region, as you will discover in the pages of this guide to Haywards Heath College.

I look forward to welcoming you to your new local college at the heart of the Mid Sussex community.

We are also working closely with businesses and organisations across the region to ensure we are delivering a diverse curriculum which also meets work force requirements. In addition we'll be giving you the opportunity to learn and develop the skills you need for the career you want. Haywards Heath College offers you greater choice and more opportunities as you take the next steps in your educational journey. We look forward to welcoming you in September 2020.
