What drew you to this profession?
I was “born” to do this work, with personal challenges interfering with my binocular vision. rough vision therapy, I retrained my brain to coordinate my eyes and enhanced my ability to process visual and spatial information.
How does your work di er from that of others in your profession?
I bring a unique blend of knowledge and experience to the art and science of behavioral optometry. I am a sought-a er lecturer, known for my communication skills and ability to relate personal habits and patterns to people’s use of their visual systems.
What should someone expect from working with you?
I have a great facility for connecting with “children of all ages”. Patients are o en surprised by the natural positive boost in their reading comprehension and e ciency at work or school that comes with the functional bene ts of therapeutically designed glasses. Alleviation of stress in the head, neck and eyes naturally redistributes energy for cognitive processing.
What changes do you have planned for 2023?
I emphasize multidisciplinary care for patients in need of rehabilitative support. I’ve been developing the use of lenses as tools to improve posture, gait and freedom of movement in patients with physical discomfort or following an injury/concussion.

What drew you to this profession?
When I was 27, I had three herniated discs and su ered with debilitating pain. I felt 50 percent relief immediately and 95 percent in two visits. It took me a full year to fully heal and correct the problem permanently. I then worked for the doctor who saved my life for the next two years, learning from the best. I just nished my 20th year in private practice and we’ve helped more than 13,000 patients get well.
How does your work di er from that of others in your profession?
