The Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council is pleased to share the 2016 Fanha'aniyan Pulan CHamoru Calendar (Chamorro Lunar Calendar). It includes the contributions and advice from the Guam Chamorro Lunar Calendar Committee and highlights the Tradional fishing and conservation practices of the Chamorro people of the Mariana Archipelago. It will be distributed at the 8th Annual Gupot Fanha'aniyan Pulan CHamoru (Chamorro Lunar Calendar Festival) scheduled from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016, on the grounds of the Sagan Kotturan CHamoru just above the Hilton Resort. This event will bring Guam's community (local, military and visitors) together to celebrate Guam's cultural connection to the moon with traditional foods, exhibits, demonstrations and entertainment.
