B,, A NNA This is Station W. P. S. D. , Ann Smith, announcer. Good afternoon, friends, everywhere. This afternoon I w a nt to take you into the year 2000 when you will w itness one of the g reatest television shows ever produced. We will view the screening of our former friends from W. P. S. D. I'm sure you will find the show amazing, so draw those chairs close if you need to. First on the program is EDDIE HILL, a tall slender man who is graying somewhat at the temples. He is leading a fifty-piece band from the famous Harlem section of New York. Before one realizes what is happening, Eddie is jugg ling two huge balls in midair to music. I wonder if he thinks of dribbling the basketball down the floor as in days of long ago. H e was such an excellent player. Do you see the figure dressed like Old Father Time back of the huge bass drum, watching Eddie? He is none other than GLENN BERGMAN. No doubt he, too , is thinking back to some former baseball games. His thoughts were always of managing a great wrestling champion. MARY FERRARO is about to appear. What a lo vely figure she has. Could she be advertising a new redu ci ng drug? No , of course not. those lovely jewels. She is modeling the latest New York style creations. Mary is a famous Powers Model. Her pkture appears on some of our leading magazine covers. Here comes MARY ROCHA and SAMUEL FUSILLI. They are partners on a great ballet team. See how graceful they are as they flit through their routine. The stage scenery was painted by MARGARET MICELI. Yes, that's Margaret in front of the orchestra. She is doing a chalk drawing of the orchestra. RONALD OVERDORFF is now coming on the stage. He is doing some daring tricks on a motorcycle, which could cost him his life. Now here comes SAMUEL DeWITT, a great acrobat on the net. Oh! here comes Samuel flying to the floor fr o m th e net. Whew! He's so wonderful. Now you have seen what our friends from W . P. S. D . are doing. Probably you haven't seen them since they left our dear old Alma Mater. It would be so nice to clasp hands :'.'. ad exchange a friendly smile w ith each and everyone of them. This concludes the afternoon's program. Until tomorrow at this same tim e over Station W. P. S.D.

To our School we leave a sum of money to be u sed in the best interests of the School. We are grateful for the providence tha t brought Dr. Sam B. Craig here to be our superintendent. He has been an able administrator arid a wise counselor who has the interests of the deaf child at heart. Our principals, teachers, and instructors have worked hard all these years to prepare us for our after schoo l life and for this we are truly thankful. A lthough we have at times taxed the patience of our counsellors. th ey h ave borne with us often beyond our desert a11d we wish the them to know their efforts in o ur behalf have n ot been in vain.

Our matron and her staff have labored conscientiously all these years ministering to our physical needs and keeping our school neat and presentable. Our many thanks! We must not forget Dr. Ebe, Miss Rung and Dr. O'Loughlin who have guarded our health so well. We make these individual bequests to boys a nd g irls. T 0 Nancy Black, Mary F erraro wills her good health. To Joseph Derkiss, Samuel DeW itt gives his passion for 'cars and for discussing them with the boys. To Patty Crawford, Margaret leaves her love for teasing the girls. To Mary Ann DiCola, Ann Smith gives her enjoyment of work. To Della M iller, Mary Rocha le.aves her ability to c roc het so b eautifully. To Ronald Heckman, Eddie Hill hands down his a ll-star basketball playing ability. To Shirley Smith, G lenn Bergman bequeaths his mathematical wizardry. To Joey Iacobucci, Samuel F usilli leaves his propensity for wearing flashing sport clothes. TERMS OF ADMISSION This School is an institution of learning incorporated under the laws of the State. It was built and is sustained by contributions of benevolent persons and by legislative appropriations, and is designed to afford a good common school education to all deaf children in Western Pennsylvania. It is open to all such of suitable age and capacity for receiving instruction in conformity to the rules adopted for its government. The School is located at Edgewood in Allegheny County, a short distance east of the City of Pittsburgh and within a few minutes' walk of Edgewood Station on the main line of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The legislature makes provisions for the education and maintenance of State pupils, the State paying three-fourths and the school districts from which pupils come paying one-fourth of the cost. The State assumes the full cost for all pupils under six years of age and over 2 I years of age. Parents and guardians supply their children with necessary clothing, paying the traveling expenses of the pupils to and from the School, also. a noininal incidental fee. Children are regularly admitted upon application from their parents or guardians and approved by their local school authorities. The annual session of the School usually begins on the second week of September and continues for forty weeks, until about the middle of June. SAM B. CRAIG. Superintendent
