LANDS OF ENCHANTMENT
By Sabrina, age 12 Peter the bunny lived on a floating island. He was a superhero bunny. His super power was super speed. The evil villain was a wolf that can fly. He had an underwater lair. He also lived near Peter the bunny. The wolf’s name was Rick. One day Rick was going to the supermarket to buy some food to eat. He started flying but when he got to the supermarket he couldn’t stop flying. He was stuck in the air so he went back home. But he still couldn’t land on the floor. He was stuck in the air flying forever. Eventually he landed on the dock near his lair. At his home he made a plan. He said, “I will surround Peter the bunny with lava.” So he went and started a problem near the volcano. Peter the bunny ran to near the volcano and saw the problem. Rick surrounded Peter with lava and Peter ran super fast on the rocks on top of the lava to escape. To be continued . . .

By Cami, age 9 This is Tsum Tsum Kingdom. Let’s start your tour. First, let’s start with Toysareus. Toysareus is located beside Central Park. This store brings in over 500 Tsum Tsums a year. In Central Park there are lots of things you can do, like play in the pond, park, etc. The Tsum Tsum grocery store has hundreds of varieties of healthy foods, such as carrots, blueberries and bananas. Our next stop is the town’s ice cream store. It has tons of flavours. There are also theatres. The most popular theatre is Silver City. There are almost 500 Tsum Tsums here every year. And now they’ve cancelled our tour. Hope you visit again soon.
By Joey, age 9 There once was a friendly castle and a very scary forest. No one had ever returned from the forest. In the forest there were creepy crawly scary squash. Anyone who set foot in the forest got squashed and never returned. The people who entered got captured and eaten. Meanwhile, in the friendly castle, everyone drank tea.
By Daisy, age 8 Once upon a time there lived a fire queen and an ice queen. They didn’t like each other. They always fought. They didn’t share their stuff. But their mother and father said they had to share their stuff because they are sisters. The fire queen liked the colour red. The ice queen liked the colour blue. When it was the fire queen’s birthday she got a pet dog but she liked cats. When it was the ice queen’s birthday she got a pet bunny but she liked owls. 2

By Fiona, age 8 Once upon a time there was a fire queen and an ice queen who were sisters. They were play fighting a lot. The ice queen had a pet dog that ate ice and the fire queen had a fire dog that drank lava and ate little chunks of lava. One day they were actually fighting and so they decided they were going to move castles so they wouldn’t fight ever again. But one day later they saw each other and they were not happy. After their mother saw the fire queen and ice queen she said, “Be nice to each other.” So the fire queen and ice queen became nice again.

By Celest, age 10 I was in the forest doing a little walk and I forgot my phone at home. While I was walking I thought I saw a monster behind a tree, but it was actually just a fox. The fox came out from behind the tree. It came closer and closer and then it heard a noise and ran away. I just kept walking the same way on the trail. I was wondering why I heard so many snapping sticks and it turned out that it was my mom. She gave me my phone and I just kept on walking on the trail. I felt calm and I heard birds singing and the air felt clean. Then I saw a tree with a treehouse on a branch. I climbed up to see what was in the treehouse. In the treehouse were animals. I also saw the fox I had seen earlier. The animals were frightened because there was a monster, but the monster was too big to come up into the treehouse. My phone rang, and it wasn’t any of my parents . . . or my brothers . . . or my sisters. It was somebody I didn’t know! It turned out I had to cancel the call because I heard a growl! It was the monster. Then hunters came and killed the monster and the animals were safe, for now . . . dun dun dun.

By Susan, age 11 One day we were camping in the woods in huge giant cabins. We were eating animals like moose and deer. We built the cabins, obviously, because we were in the middle of the woods. We made a fire when it was nighttime and we did not put it out and our cabin caught on FIRE! We were TERRIFIED! We managed to make it to the door and to the life jackets because we thought they would save our lives. The fire got bigger and then we thought, “We have life jackets!” We went to the lake, and guess what?! We made it to the lake! We took our life jackets off and went into the VERY deep lake. Then I realized it was a dream and I was in the bathtub.
By Tatiana, age 9 Once upon a time there was a scary house with ghosts, goblins, vampires, skeletons, zombies, witches and monsters. Whoever entered the house would get . . . The house was in the woods. The house was haunted and the person who owned the house was a two-eyed monster with scary eyes and four hands. The house had a haunted bathroom and haunted rooms and it was secretly a hotel. And no one knew that it was haunted. There were secret passageways somewhere in the house that were secretly hidden. The owner had four kids—one that was a vampire, one that was a skeleton, one that was a ghost girl and one that was a goblin girl. There were cameras in the house and they took pictures of the people. The house had a tiny storm every Halloween night. It also had pet dragons and an army of walking dead. And the walking dead were zombies. Boo . . .

By George, age 9 I was in the forest. I heard a loud noise. It was scary. Jachin was helping me but he runs faster than me. Jachin got ahead of me. I saw two dinosaurs. One was the kind that has a giant spiked ball on the end of its tail and the other was a T. Rex. It was just like the one in Jurassic Park—the one with the spikes on its head. T. Rex was biting the other dinosaur. The spiky dinosaur had red eyes. I was scared and sad. I was scared the dinosaurs would bite me and I was sad because my friend Jachin wouldn’t help me. The T. Rex bit me on the arm. Two teeth went into my arm and my arm broke. I ran home and Jachin was helping me. His eyes were as big as Mickey Mouse’s ears. And while he was running he made funny sounds. The police helped us go to the hospital. When we got to the hospital I said, “That was a close call.” My arm was wobbly and it stung. But now it’s better after two months.
By Jaykwon, age 11 Once upon a time . . . The End. Done. We are done, guys. I was with Joe. We went to Japan and we went to a snowy place. Me and Joe walked in the snowy place. We saw this dinosaur with snow in his mouth. He came alive! I ran. Joe died. Afterwards 25 killer clowns came and chopped the dinosaur with their weapons. They found Joe in its stomach. They put the pieces of the dinosaur into a bag and then they tried to cook Joe in the furnace. They tried to cook everyone but when they found me I had an axe and I chopped the clowns and fed them to another dinosaur. The dinosaur vomited the clowns, then I destroyed the dinosaur and after I went to a space where I was safe.

By Clara, age 10 Part 1 On October 20th I went to Fright Night. I went on the Beast. On the Beast my seatbelt broke. Then I landed on a roller coaster seat but as I got on the roller coaster the car broke off. Part 2 I fell to the ground. The people surrounded me. Then they called an ambulance. The ambulance came and got me in the truck right away. Part 3 We arrived at the hospital and they put a really light magenta cast on my arm. That is the story of how I broke my arm.

They said, “Oh no!” They ran inside to Sparkles’ home. They ate cookies. They drank water. It stopped and they went outside in the sun and played with Shopkins and they played and played all day until they were bored and sleepy. It was dark outside. They went camping. They roasted marshmallows. They went home to play with Shopkins all day. They drew Shopkins with pencils. They were happy.

By Helena, age 8 Welcome. I am Shadow Blade. I will show you how I got my dark powers. I was a girl teenager named Silona. I liked the dark so I didn’t have a night light. I liked to be a superhero. I had a big secret about me that I didn’t know about. I liked to do archery so I did my practice, then the arrow started glowing and I touched it. Now I’m a superhero! Now I love fighting bad guys like Claw Dome and Laser Eye. Now I shoot lightning bolts with my new bow in the light of the moon.
By Nancy, age 7 Once upon a time there was a girl named Elizabeth, Queen of Florida. One day, she died. But she was resurrected by a powerful wizard who turned her into a superhero. She was only 14. And then she died again. And then she turned into a graveyard. And then she was a superhero again! And then she died again. Then she turned into a coffee table. Then she died again. Then someone dug up her DNA.

Hi, I am Galactic. I drank a magic potion and it made me fall asleep. I started to feel different and I started to fly. This is me as Galactic. I have a costume. This is me as a superhero. I have super speed, superhuman agility, invisibility, teleportation, strength and, last, snow power and flying power. This is my training academy. It is called the King Soldier Strike. I’m new here. This is the workshop. It is cool. I met a lot of people. One was Phantom Dark. I saved the world. I became a captain because I saved the world.
By Finlay, age 8 Once upon a time there was a boy who fell off a trampoline and hit his head on a bench. And it knocked out all his teeth. And he had to get silver teeth. And the dentist gave him superpowers. And then the superhero of Turbo Beast was born. His first villain was named Chainsaw. His weapon was a chainsaw but Turbo Beast took him to jail.

By Ohiyesa, age 8 Once, in a city full of crime, no superheroes lived there. Crime was endless. Then one day a superhero was born. His name was Captain War. He was extremely good at martial arts and had an endless supply of weapons and caught many bad guys.
By Troy, age 6 He is wearing pajamas so no aliens can find him. He is wearing Ghostbusters pajamas so nobody can see him. The superhero is fighting the Ghostbusters. 21
PUMPKIN TALES By Edward, age 6 Once, the evil pumpkin stole candies from the kids. When the kids woke up they were sad because all their candy was gone. The kids ran after the pumpkins with pumpkin carving tools. Then they caught the pumpkins and glued candy on their faces. Then they cut a hole in the tops of the pumpkins and ripped out all their guts. All the candy was in a bag. The kids untied it and shared it all.
By Keira, age 9 Once upon a time the graveyard of evil pumpkins woke up. The pumpkins went into town and scared all the kids. The adults got scared, so they threw all the pumpkins they already had away. All the pumpkins were in the garbage. While they were in the garbage, they came to life, too! So the adults grabbed weapons and knives because it was too dangerous for the kids. They destroyed them all.

By Karen, age 7 When the children were asleep the pumpkins woke up and went to get the candy and put the candy the bedrooms. And then they went to the windowsill and went to bed. In the morning, the grown-ups went to work and the kids went to school. When everybody was gone the pumpkins came down and played with board games.
By Patrick, age 8 Buzz Lightyear’s mom was a pumpkin. He was in Call of Duty and he had a weapon. He died in World War I and his weapon is the memory of him. And he went to pumpkin heaven. The End. Or is it? Part 2 coming up next year.
By Kyanna, age 7 Once upon a time the pumpkins woke up from their nap and it was night. The pumpkins went trick-or-treating after the kids went trickor-treating. They got lots of candy. They loved it. They went to lots of houses. And when the pumpkins ate lots of candy they grew bigger. They got so big they blew up.

By Max, age 8 Once upon a time there was a super agent. He was on duty when he saw there was a bad guy. The bad guy was walking on the sidewalk, stealing candy. The super agent turned on his jet pack and zoomed up into the air and went closer to the bad guy. The super agent was hovering over the bad guy so the bad guy turned around. The super agent froze. The super agent had a plan. There was a streetlight. The super agent hid behind the streetlight. The bad guy took a clock out of his pocket and looked at the clock. It was midnight. The bad guy said to himself, “I should get back to my house.” He was walking down the street but the super agent’s jet pack was too fast for the bad guy. The super agent said stop to the bad guy. The bad guy froze. The bad guy said, “Very funny,” and tore down the street. And they were never seen again.
By Tyler, age 7 When Cole was walking, Cole saw Deadpool training. Then Cole’s brother was going to fight the evil bad guy’s truck. Cole’s brother threw a boomerang stick and it got stuck on top of the truck. Then Cole’s brother stole the money. Cole went to find him and then a ghost said, “Cole!” When they finally got back, some Minecraft people were fighting Bowser from Minecraft. Minecraft Mario defeated Bowser. 37
By Jachin, age 9 I was at the PNE. I went on the roller coaster. I was with George. He wanted to go on the Beast and I didn’t. We argued. I said “No. We aren’t going on the Beast.” George said, “Pretty, pretty please.” I changed my mind and said, “Fine. We will go on the Beast.” We were having an awesome time and went on all the rides and we ate everything we could, including Slurpees and candy. After we ate we went on the Big Slingshot. While we were on the Big Slingshot I burped from all the food we had eaten. I burped in George’s face. George got mad. George said, “No you don’t,” and then pushed me off the Big Slingshot right when we were at the top. I fell one hundred feet down and landed on the cement. I put my arm out like Superman and my arm broke. We rushed to the hospital. George drove—he took a car. I got X-rays and a cast. Sometimes we get angry with each other but we are still friends.

By Priscilla, age 11 There was a turtle and a dolphin swimming through the coral reef. Then they got caught in a net for an underwater cage. They got caged up, but a seal was swimming around and he saw the cage and saw the dolphin and turtle. So the seal went looking for diamond necklaces to free the dolphin and turtle. They were free at last, and they were so hungry, and then they all were celebrating for freedom and the sea and the whole wide ocean.
