THE MOTH MAN

Chapter 1: The Camp

It all started when I went to Camp Northman. I remember travelling there on a boat with my best friend CJ and about 16 other girls. It was really hot. I wasn’t worried about us hitting a rock and sinking. When we reached the dock, something didn’t feel right and the staff seemed a bit off. It was a weird feeling. I told CJ, but she said it was fine.
Chapter 2: The Fire
It was beginning to get dark, and I still suspected that something was weird. I didn’t want to leave our cabin, but CJ convinced me to go with her to the bonfire. None of the staff would come close to the fire, which I thought was strange. CJ still seemed fine with everything, but I wasn’t sure about this Camp Northman. Something seemed fake. But at least I was with CJ, I thought.
Chapter 3: The Breakfast
When I woke up the next morning, it was dark. “Shouldn’t it be light?” I thought. I got up, and CJ and I made our way to the mess hall. It was cold and the air smelled weird, like burning rubber.
As we neared the mess hall, some girl started screaming. She was bleeding all over the place and she was covering her ears. A bunch of staff members ran over to care for her, but it was too late. Within the hour, the staff had buried her by the lake.
Chapter 4: The Swim
After what happened, our camp leader said that she would take us on a trip to a nearby cove. It was a beautiful day, and I was excited about the swim. It was about a 12-minute walk from camp to the cove. On the way, I kind of felt dizzy in the sun and ended up passing out from dehydration.
When I woke up, I was in a room with furniture that seemed stuck in the 1980s. It smelled like an old house, like lemons. Just then the phone rang, and one of the nurses who was there ran to answer it. I heard a caller on the other end who seemed upset with the nurse. The nurse hung up, and told me to get out of bed. The last thing I remember was the nurse telling me to go with her.
Chapter 5: The Cove
When I came to, I found myself walking with this mysterious nurse to the same cove my cabinmates were supposed to go swimming in. This time, though, I had some water with me, so I didn’t pass out along the way. When we reached the cove, the nurse took me to a waterfall, and guided me behind it to a cave. The last thing she said to me was, “I’m so sorry.” Then she knocked me out.
Chapter 6: The Creature
When I woke up, I was tied to a big rock. I heard chanting that sounded like crypid, crypid, crypid. Then I saw him. The Moth Man.
He was tall and dark brown, with big red eyes and wings the size of a small car. He sat down on a chair that was made out of stone and I realized that there was a person kneeling in front of him. The person said, “Crypid, my lord, one of the sisters has found a youngling. What shall we do with it?”
I thought to myself, This is how it ends.
