Jump in BOE budget may lead to 6% tax increase for residents

Marc Finkelstein presented their $63 million proposal to the Town Council Tuesday evening, which the two bodies will spend the next month or so negotiating. School funding represents more than 63 percent of the town’s tentative $107.8 million budget, which is also up from last year — 4.23 percent.
