Real Estate Notes 25th Annual Christmas Wishes for Kids Charity Event Forestville, CT- December 2nd, 2012 “Christmas Wishes for Kids” charity event was co-hosted by Mid-State Association of REALTORS® Community Foundation and Nuchies Restaurant in Bristol. Each year, the Mid-State Association of REALTORS® works with local social service agencies in the Bristol/Southington area to provide a Christmas Luncheon for specific children and their families who can’t support the expenses of Christmas. The Mid-State Association gets a list from each agency that indicates a specific gift that the child has requested in the form of a “Christmas Wish”. Once the lists are received, our Association goes shopping to purchase these specific gifts. This year we provided approximately 119 special gifts to the children from “Santa”. Fun was had by all including the parents, REALTORS®, Nuchies staff and Santa’s helpers. A special thanks to the Shriner Clowns for the laughter and for making great balloon figures for all the kids. A special thank you to Dave & Mike Pasqualicchio of Nuchies Restaurant for donating their banquet room, lunch, as well as their wonderful wait staff. REALTOR® volunteers included: Karen Diamantes, Anne Siemiatkoski, Paula Kendall, Marie Simmons, Sharon Rinaldi, Doris Bachand, Robert Siemiatkoski, Lynn Robinson, Maria Dorval (all from Country Manor), Jim Krawiecki of Landmark Realty and Ryan Smith of Tier One Realty. Santa’s helpers included Tom, Damon & Alexis Diamantes, Zoe & Bodie Jabs, Angelo Ingellis, Kris Walker, Lois Howard, Chip Howley, and Nick Stolfi. Thank you to the gift wrapping volunteers from Kohl’s Department store: David & Jacob Woznicki, Denise Fraeon, Carol Gaughan, Jessie Laberge and Spencer Tetreault. Thanks to Sal Mangiafico of Mangiafico’s Pastry Store in Plainville for the Christmas cookies. Money was raised by the Mid-State Association of REALTORS® throughout the year to make this party a great success. Also other donations were from BY Carrier, Inc. The greatest gift of all was seeing all the smiling faces of the children who attended this event.
