Council votes 5-4 in favor of land swap deal for Wilkus Farm property By ERICA SCHMITT STAFF WRITER
The Wilkus Farm property on Willow Street will likely see six homes in its future. Wethersfield Town Council voted 5-4 in favor one of three proposals the town received for the sale of two acres of the 81-acre site, at its Volume 54, No. 2

meeting Monday evening. Approved was a land swap plan from developer Ron Drisdelle, who owns land at 214 Goff Road where a four-lot subdivision was previously planned for. The four councilors who were defeated voted in favor of one of the other two proposals from town resident Richard Nowak, who would repair the Wilkus home and six barns, use the buildings to store farming equipment and hay on 10n of the 80 acres offered as part of the deal. Mayor Donna Hemmann was the sole Republican to vote in favor of this plan.
