The Haley Memorial Library & History Center William Reaves Fine Art teams up with the prestigious Haley Memorial Library to host a holiday celebration bringing Midland art enthusiasts an outstanding exhibition featuring many of the state’s most prominent early and contemporary artists. The exhibition will be on view at the Haley Memorial Library in Midland, Texas from December 5-11, 2013. The Houston-based gallery is acknowledged as one of the foremost venues for Texas subject matter in the state, focusing on early, modern, and contemporary art, and having quickly achieved a reputation for presenting exceptional examples of Texas art reflecting a broad spectrum of periods and media. Holidays at the Haley includes a pleasing spread of early and contemporary Texas artists, including works by masters Porfirio Salinas, Robert Wood, Otis Dozier, and William Lester. Additionally, the Haley show features the gallery’s Contemporary Texas Regionalists — 16 artists from across the state who are rising stars on the Texas scene and recognized among the foremost artists working within the state today. While working in a wide range of styles and variety of mediums, these artists convey traditional Texas subject matter and painterly, regional ethos in their output. The artwork produced by members

of this talented group captures the attention of major collectors, and is finding its way into the permanent collections of Texas museums. With Holidays at the Haley, WRFA invites art enthusiasts to peruse, appreciate, and learn more about this stimulating area of art history in our great state. WRFA is a comprehensive gallery, promoting a dynamic exhibition program throughout the state while also offering fine art appraisals, consultation, and sales services. In order to promote interest and broaden knowledge of Texas art, the gallery supports related gallery talks, community events, scholarly research, and publication related to its subject, artist, and period. In recent news, The Houston Press voted William Reaves Fine Art Houston’s Best Art Gallery for 2013.
