Monitoring Our Progress
The Parks, Recreation and Trails Master Plan will be evaluated and
updated on a yearly basis. This will involve an annual review with the Parks Commission, with updates on new parks and park improvement projects; recreation programming and attendance; and trail system development.
City and developer inititatives and outcomes as they relate to parks and recreation will be evaluated based on the goals and policies established in this Plan. The City's approach will be adjusted, as needed, to more successfully achieve the Plan's vision.
The review will also give Staff and the Commission an opportunity to revisit goals and policies, allowing for change. Revisions may be added as appendices.
This will ensure the Plan is not collecting dust on the shelf but is being actively used, and allows the City to keep the Plan up to date, reducing the burden on future Updates.
