The project A philologist attractive at labor market. Preparing and implementing study programs of practical profile for the Faculty of Modern Languages and Literature in WSF in cooperation with the Sogn og Fjordane University College, carried out by the Philological School of Higher Education in Wroclaw in partnership with the Norwegian university, the Sogn og Fjordane University College, has grately contributed to the development of didactic potential of the Polish beneficiary through adjusting the study programs to the expectations of the modern labor market and preparing the training infrastructure for the implementation of new practical modules. The idea of the project was born in response to the challenges and expectations towards graduates of foreign languages studies who start their professional careers. The institution’s mission is, among other things, to ensure its students practical, specialized training by providing them with a wide range of workshops, implemented on the basis of innovative, original study programs. The results of the project, which lasted from March 2014 to October 2015, will benefit mainly WSF students and graduates who will be able to raise their

professional and social competences, as well as develop practical skills through practical training, including the courses held in simultaneous interpretation laboratories that were created and equipped within the grant. The project facilitated establishing and strengthening valuable relationships with representatives of employers, institutions and organizations of the labor market on the one hand, and on the other – with the administrative and teaching staff of the Sogn og Fjordane University College. Stable and close relations between the partner institutions are one of the most valuable achievements of the project and resulted in three new partner projects within the framework of Norwegian and EEA grants, i.e. Institutional Cooperation, Development of Polish Higher Education and Mobility Projects in Higher Education. Knowledge of the cultural realities and the societies of the partner countries that the staff of both schools gained is invaluable – unique qualities and know-how of these institutions and people who, despite the great distance – geographic, climatic, historical or cultural – were able to work together and create a new, unique, joint quality.
