Charity & Scholarship

On November 14, 2013 and December 5,2013 the West San Gabriel Valley Association of REALTORS® held its annual auction with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the WSGVAR Foundation. The Auction was presented by the WSGVAR Foundation, with Yolanda Martinez-Arenas as the Auctioneer. The WSGV AR Foundation would like to give a big thank you to all of the donors, bidders, helpers and other participants that contributed to make the Auction a success!

With the money raised, each year the WSGVAR Foundation Committee is able to donate money to charities in the surrounding community and award scholarships to students at 15 high schools in Alhambra, Monterey Park, Rosemead, San Gabriel and Temple City. These students have excellent grades, extracurricular activities, and perseverance in attaining their goals.

On December 12, 2013 the WSGV AR Foundation presented awards to five charities in the community at our annual "Recognition of Charitable Organizations" MLS Breakfast meeting. The 2013 charitable organization recipients are Marvvale, People for People, San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, Wounded Warrior Project and the YMCA of West San Gabriel Valley. We appreciate all the good work these deserving charities do!

Another way to be involved is to join the Century Club. The Century Club is the backbone of our scholarship. It is composed of people who value the importance of education and want to make a donation directly to scholarships. To join, all one has to do is write a check in the amount of $100 or more to WSGVAR Foundation and write Century Club in the memo. Click here for a list of all our Century Club Members.
