After Castelletto, we are ready to turn on the heat at the La Conca International Circuit for the penultimate round of the WSK Super Master Series. Now past the mid-way mark, new names and “old acquaintances” have mixed up the field, creating an interesting scenario in every category. In the 60 Mini Hauger and Muller are hoping to pull away, while in KFJ Novalak and Sargeant are in the lead. In the KF Basz and Nielsen have an even stronger advantage and in KZ veteran driver Ardigò controls the field with two final victories to his name. With two rounds in the books and two more to go... we can expect some mad adrenalin.

Dopo Castelletto, pronti per la terza delle quattro prove del WSK Super Master Series nel Circuito Internazionale La Conca, a Muro Leccese. Passato il giro di boa, nomi nuovi e “vecchie conoscenze” si mescolano in uno scenario sempre più interessante in ciascuna categoria. Nella 60 Mini provano ad allungare Hauger e Muller, mentre nella KFJ Novalak e Sargeant sono ai primi due posti. Ancor più netto l’allungo di Bazs e Nielsen in KF, mentre in KZ l’esperto Ardigò guida la classifica con due finali all’attivo. La metà delle gare è già in archivio, l’altra metà... non potrà che regalare ancora più adrenalina.

REBOUND SHOW Rainy weather, with outright downpours in the first half of the Castelletto weekend, conspired to make Round 2 of the WSK Super Master Series a show of spectacular rebounds, with several drivers working on their comeback from their intermediate standing after the heats all the way through to the last checkered flag of the Final. Here are the names who, in each class, topped the charts of our virtual “rebound cup”. Complice la pioggia, che soprattutto nella parte iniziale del weekend è scesa copiosa sul circuito di Castelletto di Branduzzo, il secondo round della WSK Super Master Series è stato caratterizzato da alcune spettacolari rimonte. Tra i telai Tony Kart fa la parte del leone in 3 categorie su 4. Per i motori, invece, Vortex e TM comandano, ma Parilla non è molto distante.

KZ2 REPORT

ARDIGÒ LEADER

Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart/Vortex) entered the Final determined to take the round victory, even on the wet: after the start, the Italian dueled with French rival Anthony Abasse (Sodi Kart/TM), then he managed to take the lead with a nice overtake and flew away to triumph, relegating Abasse to the runner-up role. Italian Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart/Vortex) worked his way into third, passing one opponent after the other in his charge from P12 on grid. As we enter Round 3, Ardigò has a comfortable lead in the title hunt with 170 points and 2 Final wins. Abbasse is second with 120 points thanks to the prefinal win in Castelletto, followed at a distance by Jordon Lennox-Lamb who claims 79 points.

Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart/Vortex) è arrivato in Finale puntando al risultato assoluto, anche sul bagnato: dopo la partenza, l’italiano ha duellato con il francese Anthony Abasse (Sodi Kart/TM), fino ad andare al comando con un bel sorpasso e concludere da vincitore, con Abasse rimasto al secondo posto. In terza posizione è salito Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart/Vortex), dopo una rimonta che lo ha visto recuperare dalla dodicesima posizione di partenza. Ora Ardigò allunga nella classifica generale con 170 punti e 2 finali vinte, seguito proprio da Abbasse, vincitore di una prefinale a Castelletto e a 120 punti. Jordon Lennox-Lamb segue da lontano al terzo posto con 79 punti.

BASZ ON A GREAT RECOVERY

The stars of the action were once again Denmark’s Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Poland’s Karol Basz (Kosmic/Vortex). In the Final, Nielsen started from pole position, but Basz immediately jumped him for the lead and pulled away to win. Left behind, Nielsen then came under attack from hard-charging Italian Matteo Viganò (Top Kart/Parilla), on the rebound from P11, and eventually succumbed and finished third. With the second back to back win, Basz has increased his lead to 180 points over Nielsen (130). Van Leeuwen follows from a far, with just 50 points. With 2 rounds left to go, considering how the battle has been unfolding, the KF title hunt seems down to a duel between the Kosmic and Tony Kart leaders.

Sono stati ancora una volta protagonisti il danese Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart/Vortex) e il polacco Karol Basz (Kosmic/Vortex), con quest’ultimo subito davanti all’avversario che era partito dalla pole. Mentre Basz si avviava alla vittoria, il danese ha lottato con l’italiano Matteo Viganò (Top Kart/Parilla) in rimonta dall’undicesima posizione e infine secondo davanti a Nielsen. Con questa seconda vittoria, Basz è ora leader con 180 punti, seguito proprio da Nielsen. Van Leeuwen è terzo, ma più distanziato (50 punti). A due round dal termine, visto anche l’andamenteo delle gare finora disputate in stagione nelle categoria KF, il discorso campionato appare ciroscritto al duello tra i due piloti di Kosmic e Tony Kart.

NOVALAK BETTER THAN EVER

On the 7 Laghi circuit, British driver Clement Novalak (Tony Kart/Vortex) confirmed that he is in great shape, repeating his success from the Adria opener. In the Final he came under pressure from his closest rival, Logan Sargeant (FA Kart/Vortex), but managed to break free for the win when the American spun into a 180. Belgian Ulysse De Pauw (Birel Art/Parilla) also took advantage of the situation to slip into second place. In the end Sergeant recovered to round off the podium. Clement extended his point lead over Sergeant by 70 points for a total of 180, while Lorenzo Colombo (Tony Kart/LKE) conquered 40 points to bring his tally to 72 and claim third place in the title hunt ahead of De Pauw and Denmark’s Noah Watt (FA Kart/Parilla) .

Sulla Pista 7 Laghi Kart l’inglese Clement Novalak (Tony Kart/Vortex) conferma il suo grande stato di forma, tornando al successo dopo la vittoria del primo round di Adria. Novalak ha lottato per la leadership con l’americano Logan Sargeant (FA Kart/Vortex), che negli ultimi giri è andato in testacoda, perdendo anche la seconda posizione al belga Ulysse De Pauw (Birel Art/Parilla). Alla fine Sergeant ha recuperato per completare il podio di gara. Novalak resta quindi al comando della KFJ con 180 punti, secondo Sargeant con 110 punti, mentre cresce l’italiano Lorenzo Colombo (Tony Kart/LKE) che guadagna 40 punti a Castelletto ed è terzo con 72 punti, proprio davanti a De Pauw e al danese Noah Watt (FA Kart/Parilla).

HAUGER’S GREAT COMEBACK

Norway’s Dennis Hauger (CRG/TM) crowned his nearly perfect weekend with a solitary run up front in the Final. Behind him, a nice starting dash allowed Italian Mattia Muller (Energy/TM) to rise into second position and defend until the end, closing ahead of fellow Italian Marzio Moretti (Tony Kart/TM). In the championship standings, Hauger is still in control with 180 points, but Muller is right behind with 170 points. The following positions belong to three other Italians: Leo Marseglia (CRG/TM) is still third in the title hunt with 78 points, but Moretti is glued behind and just 2 points off. More detached with 65 points in fifth position there is Mattia Michelotto (Energy/Parilla).

Con una cavalcata solitaria al comando, il norvegese Dennis Hauger (CRG/TM) ha conquistato il successo in un fine settimana da protagonista. Un miglior spunto in partenza ha consentito all’italiano Mattia Muller (Energy/TM) di salire in seconda posizione, dove ha concluso davanti a Marzio Moretti (Tony Kart/TM). In classifica generale Hauger resta in testa con 180 punti, davanti a Muller, attaccato in seconda posizione a 170 punti. Sono altri tre italiani a seguire in classifica: Leo Marseglia (CRG/TM) mantiene la terza posizione con 78 punti, ma Moretti lo segue a soli 2 punti di distacco. Più arretrato, a 65 punti in quinta posizione, c’è Mattia Michelotto (Energy/Parilla).
