Remove the hitch from the calf and add gig wheels which allows the {steer} to move sideways and release from whatever is pulling it. 3. Add the leg attachment for roping back legs. You can now convert the tie-down calf to a team roping steer! After the header ropes the head he pulls the steer sideways which releases the steer from whatever is pulling it, now the header is pulling the steer so the heeler can now come in and rope the legs, allowing the team to stretch the steer out. xciting things are happening for us this year. STS Ranch Wear has taken off in a big way and I’ve been traveling for promotions and meetings while still going to some rodeos. Currently I’m on the road for one of those meetings. When this trip first came up, I was wondering if it would be worthwhile because of the time away from home and the things I would miss. Plus, I knew I would be traveling extensively for the next six weeks.

Now, whether I was meant to be there for business or to make the day of an eight-year-old boy, I don’t know for sure. But I do know we shouldn’t be quick to pass on opportunities. When you seize those opportunities I think it’s important to be present and aware. It may not always be about what benefits you.

he scripture says, “It’s more blessed to give, than to receive.” Giving and receiving always seems to be an issue with people who value possessions more than people. A core value that I have learned over time to adhere to is that people are God’s greatest treasure. One of the hardest things in life is to find a balance between valuing people and valuing our possessions. If people are God’s greatest treasure, we should never value our possessions over people. Many people in our society today are really good at giving to less fortunate people and to charitable organizations. A great challenge that many people have is receiving a gift of value from someone else. Many are good at giving, but also many are very poor at receiving a gift. Pride enters into the equation at some point as to whether we are healthy people at giving, but also receiving. Chances are if you’re not good at receiving from people, there might be a problem with receiving from God. Pride is a terrible thing if it interferes with God’s plan to bless us. A few years back I felt like God wanted me to give a somewhat wealthy man a horse. When I offered him the horse, he said, “I can’t take that, no one has ever given me anything like this before.” My reply to him was, “You don’t have to take the horse, but if you don’t then you are possibly going against God’s plan for you to be blessed.” (Please understand this was not a crummy horse, it was a very well trained roping horse.) When he realized that God loved him enough to bring a specific blessing, he began to
