These masses were held in people’s homes with smuggled priests and hidden Catholic artifacts. The festival’s American Salute features the return of pianist Michelle Cann after her dazzling debut in 2022. This time she plays George Gershwin’s irresistible mashup of classical and jazz, Rhapsody in Blue.
