Stainless-steel ASK couplings have a “sliced” body structure making them an e ective, low-cost, corrosionresistant solution that can accommodate many types of misalignments. The stainless-steel design makes them suitable for food and chemical applications. One-piece ASK coupling design is a preferable method for compensating for all types of system misalignment in a shaft-to-shaft connection. The sliced design handles high rotation speeds in high-temperature ranges experienced in food and chemical systems. The ASK Coupling o ers exceptional torsional sti ness and strength. The coupling is available in di erent materials that dampen conductive heat transfer from motor to output shaft. Also important, the coupling provides limited shaft misalignment to alleviate premature system bearing wear.
Basic ASK coupling specifi cations are: • Maximum RPM: 11,500 • Maximum allowable torque: 295 ft-lbs (400 Nm) • Bore size range: 0.118 – 2.17-in. (3.0 – 55 mm) • Backlash: Zero • Ambient operating temperature: -40 - 120 C (-40 - 248 F)
High-speed electric cylinder
Moticont Moticont.com
Moticont has added a high speed, high acceleration/deceleration, non-cogging, high resolution, high force-tosize Electric Cylinder to its product line of Linear Voice Coil Actuators. This new SDLM-051-095-01-01 Linear DC Actuator features high repeatability, 1.25-micron resolution, a continuous force of 33.9 N (7.6 lb), a peak force of 107.2 N (24.1 lb), and an integral thermistor to provide data to operate at peak e ciency for the highest possible thruput. This compact, patented SDLM Electric Cylinder or Linear Voice Coil Actuator is 50.8 mm (2.000-in.) in diameter, has a 25.4 mm (1.000-in.) stroke, and the housing length is 95.3 mm (3.75-in.) long. Each end of the housing has threaded mounting holes on a 25.4 mm (1.000-in.) bolt circle for universal mounting. A linear encoder, mounted internally, provides feedback for high accuracy and repeatability when operating SDLM linear actuators as DC servo motors in a closed servo loop. The non-rotating shaft has internal threaded holes for direct, zero backlash connections to the load. Additionally, the shaft is supported at both ends by long-life linear bearings and can tolerate side loads up to 24.0 N (5.4 lb). These actuators have a HOME sensor and are suitable for medical, assembly, work holding and clamping, sorting, laser machining and drilling, packaging, sampling, scanning, laser beam steering, and fi ltering applications. A complete Plug-and-Play servo controller is also available.

Multi-level terminal blocks
WAGO wago.com
The range of WAGO’s TOPJOB S multi-level installation terminals has expanded with the addition of push-button and hybrid variants. This o ering allows for fusing or blade-style disconnect, as well as direct ground connection to the DIN rail, all in one terminal block. These terminals share accessories with the rest of the TOPJOB S family, and conductor termination is fast and simple thanks to Push-in CAGE CLAMP. In addition to the choice between open-tool slot and push-button, these terminal blocks are also available as a hybrid solution of the two actuation types, allowing users to choose which is best for fi eld wiring. Used to save space in industrial applications such as the process industry, this product provides various through terminal blocks in the same profi le, giving assemblies a clean, seamless look.

piSAFE program
Piab piab.com
While maintaining vacuum performance through Piab’s patented COAX technology, the fl exible design and ease of maintenance makes it a suitable choice for robotic applications and ergonomic handling devices where safety is key. Whether you want a centralized or decentralized vacuum gripping system, interfaces towards common (industrial standard) EOAT systems, or stand-alone mounting, the piSAFE program provides a high vacuum safety and high performing confi guration.
piSAFE program key benefi ts: • Vacuum safety non-return valve (check valve) which holds vacuum in sealed applications in case of a system or power failure. • Available confi gurations suitable for both centralized and decentralized vacuum systems. • Can replace more expensive mechanical or vacuum-tank safety arrangements in robotic tools and ergonomic equipment. • Suitable in robotic applications requiring heightened safety. • Suitable for ergonomic lifting devices/manipulators and cranes which must comply with lifting norms such as (DIN/SS) – EN 13155 and ASME Standard B30.20.
