Drawing inspiration from both the site’s context and several precedents, which all have greatly shifted the architectural discourse either by blurring the boundary between interior and exterior space, interweaving urban structure into existing ecosystem, or producing an adaptive system using the latest technologies; 396 463437%0 *36 8,) "$ " $ -7 % ;,30) 7-8) '3:)6-2+ 7869'896) 8,%8 '322)'87 8,) -22)6 83 8,) 398)6 74%') 03'%0 7-8) 83 -87 96&%2 %(.%')2'-)7 %68-C'-%0 '327869'87 83 2%896%0 0%2(7'%4) %2( 703; 6,=8,1 83 ,-+, 74))( 2:-6321)28%0 )0)1)287 79', %7 6%-2*%00 %2( 7920-+,8 ;)6) C08)6)( (96-2+ (-+-8%0 13()00-2+ %2( ;)6) %'')289%8)( &= % 7978%-2%&0) 7869'896) 8,%8 -7 4)61)%&0) 7)0* 6)'='0%&0) %2( composed primarily of natural materials - bamboo. TraďŹƒc paths and a semi-underground cafĂŠ are integrated into the structure that serves as a daily commuting, relaxing and socialising space. Hence aiming to slow down the paces of passersby in contrast to the highway, it also links neighbouring areas both in terms of providing traďŹƒc routes and attracts people from the tourist districts, not to mention providing drivers entering Wyndham City with a non-glaring yet ever-dramatic visual experience as well. Both digital and physical model were studied throughout the design process as a way to experiment and understand the construction details.

BARLOW MOTORS
BARLOW MOTORS, WORKSHOP, CAR PARK, & CAFE
The building of Barlow Motors is inspired by the car brand “Smart.â€? This car is famous of its small size which allows cars be able to have fuel-eďŹƒcient. Another design inspiration is drawn by the concept of Smart Car - compact. In order to cooperate the ideas of “compactâ€? and “size,â€? volumetric boxes are adopted.â€? Not only merging these boxes to form the outline of the building, the indoor space like oďŹƒces, toilets, and lunchroom also have their own box-like shape in indoors. Higher ceiling height emphases the form of indoor boxes. This eectively reduces heavy heat gain to this commercial building. During o hours, building accessibility is located at the entrance of Exhibition Street. Building facades are designed for welcoming visitors. THE RIVER IS BLUE AND THE LAND IS GREEN
A STORY OF JUNGLES
SMALL VILLAGES ARE THE SPOTS IN THE GREEN ALONG THE RIVER
THE PEOPLE FROM THE VILLAGES DRINK THE FRESH WATER PLAY AROUND THE RIVER
YOU TAKE A PUNT TO HERRING ISLAND YOU LAND ON A GREENERY WORLD
YOU CAN SEE A ROW O TREES IN FRONT OF YOU
SOON, THE LAND HAS GRID ON IT, AND THE RIVER TURNS BROWN
THE WOODEN STICKS WALL IS LEADING YOU TO EXPLORE THE MYSTERY OF THIS LAND
BY THE COLOUR AND TEXTURE OF THE SUN
YOU LAND ON THE GROUND AND WALK AROUND THE NARROW CORRIDOR ALONG THE GIANT WALLS
IN THE DISTANCE, THERE IS AN ENORMOUS THATCH BEHIND THE TREES
YOU KEEP GOING
ON THE WAY TO THE THATCH, THE ABUNDANT TREES SURROUND YOU
YOU GET CLOSE TO THE RIVER
YOU ARE WELCOME BY A THATCH VILLAGE
YOU SOAK YOURSELF IN THE WATER OF THE RIVER
YOU WALK DOWN INTO THE VILLAGE
LISTEN TO THE STORY OF THE RIVER
SOME ABORIGINES ARE SINGING IN THE CENTRE OF THE YARD
THEN YOU COME TO THE PLATFORM
YOU LOOK AROUND, YOU ARE SURROUNDED BY A SERIES OF WALLS
YOU WONDER WHAT THEY ARE FOR? DEFENSE? PROTECTION? ATTACK? SAFETY? UNEASE?
SUDDENLY,YOU ARE SHOCKED BY THE URBAN SKYLINE
BEHIND THE DANCING ABORIGINES, THE ENORMOUS THATCH IS CALLING YOU
SO YOU LEAVE
YOU WALK CLOSE TO THE THATCH
INDIGENOUS SON LINGERS AROUND IN THE AIR YOU WONDER IF THIS IS A DREAM
SUDDENLY A STRONG WIND BLOWS
WHEN YOU ARE AT THE END OF THE WALL, YOU ARE STANDING ABOVE THE AQUATIC PLANTS
YOU SHELTER FROM THE WIND BY HIDING THROUGH THE NARROW GATE
THE SON HAS BEEN FAR AWAY FROM YOU AND THE CAR NOISE FROM THE URBAN JUNGLE IS LOUDER AND LOUDER
INSIDE THE THATCH, YOU FIND A RIVER IS RUNNING ON THE GROUND
YOU FEEL FEAR
YOU SEE A ROPE AND YOU CLIME UP
THEN YOU REALIZE IT IS TALKING A STORY ABOUT THE RIVER AND THIS LAND

CLIMATE CRISIS HAT PIECE
“We believe there is compelling evidence that damage to humans and the worldwide environment, is of such magnitude and seriousness that new principles for conducting human activities are necessary.” Wingspread Conference Center. January 1998. The worldwide Environmental Crisis is showing that our environment is in grave trouble. The causes are many but primarily include human-created environmental devastation. Such as massive destruction of habitats, unsustainable energy usage, and over produced waste, to name some of the major ones. There are all one with gargantuan technologies that leaves behind unmitigated devastation. In this regard, here is a hat pieces design work intends to call for environmental awareness. In order to emphasis the relationship between natural hazards and humans - a hurricane image is designed. By winding this hurricane on human’s body to impose the interaction of humans and environment.
