Three-time MIAA Defending Champions
2004-05 MIAA Championship Team: Head Coach Doug Hamilton, Paul Resner, John Robbins, Ryan Deutsch, Chris McGown, Matt Warnock, Jeremiah Nelson and Taylor Dunham. BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. -- The Washburn Ichabods won their third straight MIAA men’s golf championship with a perfect score of 42 after recording a 12-stroke win over Central Missouri State in the MIAA Tournament which concluded Tuesday (April 19) at the Country Club of Blue Springs. Washburn’s win at the MIAA Tournament secured their third straight conference championship, and the first perfect conference season since 1999-2000. The Ichabods carded a four-man, 54-hole score of 886 -- 22 over par -- to pull away from the field. CMSU (34 points) opened the second day of action with a 149 on the first nine to surpass Missouri Western (30 points) for second and get within three shots of WU. But the Ichabods were the only squad to battle through afternoon winds to record the only sub-300 score of the final 18 holes -- a 299 -- thanks to a 1-over par 73 from senior Chris
