WHO WE ARE
A college within the WVU system, WVU Tech is located in Montgomery, West Virginia and offers more than 40 academic programs. On the 2014 Payscale College Return on Investment Report, WVU Tech is ranked #1 in the state and is in the top ten percent of public schools in the nation for students paying in-state tuition.
ACCREDITATION – WHAT IT IS AND WHY IT’S IMPORTANT
Accreditation is an academic seal of approval. Accredited schools and programs meet academic quality standards set by national, regional or program-specific accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. WVU Tech is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. In addition to institutional accreditation, there are specialized agencies that accredit specific programs. ABET specifically accredits WVU Tech’s engineering and engineering technology programs and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accredits the college’s nursing programs.
