BIG 12 Conference

West Virginia enters its 10th season in one of the nation’s premier athletic conferences, whose focus is on stability, strength and success.

Commissioner Bob Bowlsby’s leadership among the 10 member schools continues to foster national recognition in the conference in academics and athletics.

Big 12 institutions create a league that encompasses five states and nearly 37 million people. More than 4,200 studentathletes from across the United States and around the world compete annually in the sports sponsored by the Big 12 Conference.

The Big 12 is a strong conference that, like WVU, values quality academic and athletic programs, and has a great tradition of success.

Whether in the pool, in the classroom, or within the community, the student-athletes, administrators, coaches and meet officials of the Big 12 support the highest ideals in sportsmanship.

The Big 12 has served as a home to nearly 100 individual National Champions over the years, as well as multiple Team National Champions.

In just two decades, the Conference has distributed nearly $2 billion to its member institutions.

The conference office is headquartered in Irving, Texas.
