ABOUT EU HOLIDAYS MISSION • Delighting every travel experience

VISION • Be Travellers’ FIRST choice

VALUES 1. Deliver what we promise 2. Serve customers passionately 3. Do what we do, best 4. Make work fun 5. Care for employees 6. Stay as one big family as we grow 7. Be a good business partner 8. Be socially responsible

PROGRESS AND MILESTONES EU Holidays was founded by a group of experienced directors passionate about their work in the travel industry. They wanted to do something new that could better serve the travel needs of consumers, which is the main driving force behind the establishment of our travel agency. Within five years of business operations, we have expanded EU Holidays and opened up three other subsidiary offices to focus on the various needs of our customers. The EU MICE office was set up in 2013 to cater for corporate travel with a focus on corporate meetings, conventions and events. In that same year, EU Asia was launched to cater for customers who are interested in travelling within Asia. In the following year, we opened up EU Vacations to serve the Malaysian market. In

doing so, EU Holidays strives to constantly improve our products and services so that we can better serve our customers. Despite being a young company, EU Holidays has gained significant recognition from both customers and industry professionals. Founded in late 2010, EU Holidays was voted Top MasterCard Supporter in NATAS Travel for four consecutive years since 2012. Since then, EU Holidays was named the ‘Best Travel Agency for Europe and USA Tours’ as voted by readers of ESCAPE! Magazine. After just two years in the business, EU Holidays was presented with two valuable awards – the Asia Excellence Award 2013 and the Singapore Excellence Award 2013. In 2014, we received the Singapore Quality Brands 2014 award and the Weekender Travellers’ Choice Award as No. 1 for Europe and USA tours, as voted by readers. We continued to be awarded for the next three years by Weekender and held our position as the top travel agency in Singapore. From Tripzillia.sg - Singapore’s No.1 Travel Portal – EU Holidays also acquired excellence awards in “Best for Europe 2015” and “Best for USA 2015”. The coveted award recognises the most outstanding travel companies for their professionalism and experience in the travel industry. EU Holidays Pte Ltd has recently received the prestigious Singapore Trusted Quality Brand 2015 award from the Singapore Enrich Group. In addition, the travel agency has gone through the year-long Customer- Centric Initiative (CCI) program and successfully attained the Singapore Service Class certification under the Ministry of Trade and Industry agency, SPRING Singapore. The agency certifies EU Holidays with the niche Business Excellence (BE) standard for service.

A Photographer’s Dream With landscapes like no other, New Zealand is undoubtedly the best destination for photographers and nature lovers. Be blown away as you experience her unparalleled beauty first hand.

Milford Sound – South Island Writer, Rudyard Kipling once described Milford Sound as the ‘eighth wonder of the world’. Irrefutably, this site possesses magnificence deserving of the compliment. Allow Milford sound to captivate you with its raw beauty and other features such as waterfalls, lush rainforest and wildlife.

Hobbiton Movie Set – North Island

PHOTO: 123RF/ANNA OMELCHENKO

In the fictional world of the Lord of the Rings, beings known as Hobbits settled in an area known as The Shire. This area was brought to life in New Zealand for the Lord of the Rings movie. While the fans will be thrilled by default, non-fans will similarly be enchanted by the lush green rolling hills and unusual circular doors.

Aoraki / Mt Cook – South Island This beautiful snow capped mountainous range is where you will find the tallest mountain in New Zealand – Aoraki / Mt Cook. During the day, admire the vast white landscape of the Southern Alps than spans across your field of sight. At night, look towards the skies and discover why this site is also recognised as an International Dark Sky Reserve. Occasionally the Aurora Australis, also know as the Southern Lights, are found dancing in these skies.

Lake Wanaka – South Island Te Puia – North Island Located in the Whakawareware Geothermal Vally is the living Maori cultural centre of Te Puia. Here you will find active and historic geysers, hot pools, mud pools and a showcase of the Moari culture. Be mesmerised by the thick steam rising from the hot pools creating a mystical illusion.

A massive lake of crystal clear water spreading across 193 square km, the exquisiteness of Lake Wanaka draws visitors from all over the globe. Hike along the numerous tracks to explore the area and experience true freedom in the wilderness.

MOUNT WELLINGTON, TASMANIA

TASMANIAN DEVIL, TASMANIA, AUSTRALIA

Discovering Tasmania

Tasmania captivates travellers from all walks of life with its rugged wilderness, historic sites and rich wildlife.

S

ituated off Australia’s South Coast, this isolated island has taken advantage of its remoteness to offer travellers a unique experience. From the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park to the historic suburb of Battery Point, Tasmania is steeped in history and natural wonders that enthralls even the most seasoned traveller.

Battery Point Named after the battery guns that were placed in 1818 to defend Hobart Town from nautical threats, Battery Point, Hobart’s first suburb once thrived on maritime business. The small suburb has served as a place of residence for people of all backgrounds. From the semi-nomadic Mouheneener tribe - indigenous Tasmanians to whalers, this small village was occupied by an eclectic mix of people. As travellers explore Battery Point, they may come across places of residence ranging from fishermen’s cottages to mansions. The houses not only reflect the occupations of its former residents but also, exudes the quaint village atmosphere to visitors exploring the region.

Richmond Steeped in Tasmanian history, Richmond

encapsulates the early Australian colonial village through its architecture. Charming Georgian buildings stand as a testament to Tasmania’s past, and today they serve as cafes, restaurants, galleries and even as places of accommodation. As one of Tasmania’s most popular destination, Richmond offers travellers disarming hospitality that is accentuated with its sumptuous cuisine. Traditional bakeries, restaurants, pubs and nearby vineyards provide the best produce for both locals and visitors to enjoy. One of the most photographed landmark in the town is the Richmond Bridge. Built by convicts in the 1820s, this is the oldest bridge in Australia to date. Providing a scenic view Richmond’s lush landscape, the grassy banks of the Coal River is a favourite picnic spot for locals.

Tasmanian Devil Conservation Known for its spine-chilling screeches, and its reputation for having a “hellish” temper, the Tasmanian devil leaves a lasting impression on anyone who gets a chance to get up close and personal with this creature. Since the 1990s, the population of these carnivorous marsupials has steadily declined. To sustain and

maintain a healthy population, conservation parks and various campaigns were set up. The Tasmanian Devil Conservation is one such place that brings awareness to the plight of these native creatures, and has embarked on a mission to save the remaining population of the endangered Tasmanian devils. At the conservation park, travellers will not only learn more about these intriguing creatures, but will also experience a face-to-face encounter with the rare Tasmanian Devil. Besides encountering this nocturnal scavenger, visitors will also have a chance to feed native creatures like kangaroos and potoroos. The park is also home to a diverse species of birds and plants.

Mount Wellington Also known as kunanyi, Mount Wellington serves as a natural reserve in Tasmania’s capital city of Hobart. Its proximity to the city provides visitors with a convenient access to the abundant species of flora and fauna. The reserve is home to a total of 500 native plant species, including many endemic Tasmanian plants, and a diverse range of animals such as, potoroos, pademelons, bettongs, bandicoots, possums, platypus and echidna. There are many ways to enjoy the natural features of the park; various walking tracks give visitors an opportunity to fully explore and experience Mount Wellington on foot. These walking tracks can range from providing easy strolls to tough climbs. Springs, waterfalls, and soaring dolerite columns of the Organ Pipes are just some of the spectacular sights that will welcome visitors as they explore Mt Wellington. In addition to exploring the reserve via walking tracks, visitors may also traverse along the rough mountain trails via horseback or a four-wheel drive.
