Boss of the South is back for 2016! The Surrey Plus Maths Hub, in partnership with Mangahigh, would like to invite you to join our free Boss of the South maths competition running 11th July to 19th July. This week long event will see primary and secondary schools from across the South of England go head to head in order to be crowned the 'Boss of the South' and win some great prizes. If you're a reader outside of the South, please note that there is also a 'Boss of the North' competition.

With maths exams and SATs completed, now is an ideal time to take part. Your students will play online maths games to score points and win prizes. This year we will award a secondary Boss of the South and a primary Boss of the South. This follows feedback about how we could recognise that primaries have smaller numbers of competitors. We want to help you highlight how maths can be fun, and this competition is a great way to do that. Some key points about the competition include: Register here http://competition.mangahigh.com/bossofthesouth you can also access further information here. If you want to check if you will fall within the North category, or register for the Boss of the South, please check at: http://competition.mangahigh.com/boss  Access to the software is completely free of charge for the duration of the competition. There is no obligation to buy software or contact Mangahigh to cancel the subscription at the end.  Win lots of prizes - with a structure that gives all schools a fair chance, regardless of size. You will also be able to play against other schools in mini-battles and the top scoring individuals will also win prizes.

Free training on the software is also available if required.

Register as many classes/ students as you like.

A great way to bring your whole school community together at the end of the year - with the added bonus that they will be accelerating their maths skills. Last year over 16,000 students had fun with maths - don't miss out!

We would like to wish you a very enjoyable and well-deserved summer holiday and look forward to working with you again next year.
