Swimming On Thursday 1 March , Rachel Cox, (P7 Y13) Millie Sansome (T4 Y12) and Megan Daley (P5 Y9) travelled to Edinburgh to compete in the British Swimming Championships at the The Squash Inter-County Championship Finals commonwealth pool. The girls began their journey were held in Nottingham at the start of January. a day early, despite the red weather warnings, and Gina Mullis (N9, Y10) and her Bucks Girls U15 they made it safely and in time for the competition! teammates were in action ! They battled through the semi-finals, beating Warwickshire 3-2 to set a Rachel raced in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle events. Millie raced in 1500m, 800m and repeat of last year’s final against Yorkshire. This year, however, the result was reserved and Bucks 400m freestyle events as well as sprinting the 50m backstroke event. Megan Daley competed in the came out the winner, another 3-2, making the 100m and 200m breastroke as one of the Bucks GU15 national champions! youngest competitors at the champs! Well done to all of you, an amazing achievement!
Individual Success Squash
Rowing Congratulations to Eloise Brindle (C5 Y10) who on Monday 12 March competed in the Schools Head of the River Race and took home the bronze in the WJ15 coxed eight. Additionally, on Tuesday 13 March she also took part in the Oarsport National Junior Sculling Head, and was part of the WJ15 Crew that took the silver! An amazing achievement, well done!
Gymnastics Huge congratulations to Lara Thornton (A7, Y9) who placed 27th in the British Gymnastics Championships at the Liverpool Echo Arena, out of 54 competitors and placing 10th in the uneven bars! An awesome achievement given her patella fracture in Novemeber! We are extremely proud of you!
