Wilkes University hosts Futsal tourny

Accomplish something awesome “Do more things that make you awesome.” A simple note on the wall of a Wilkes-Barre yoga studio can reach the athlete in all of us. When an entire office of eBay Enterprise Marketing Solutions employees makes March their Wellness Month, it’s easy to see what people can accomplish when they decide what matters in their athletic lives. Goals included running a 5K, devoting themselves to clean eating or attending 30 yoga classes in one month. No matter the goal, by the end of the month each employee accomplished something, making them feel more awesome than they did before. Finding time to do something that makes you happy isn’t always easy. What is easy is finding something to blame for taking away your athletic fun–work, school, family obligations. This eBay Enterprise group used their hour lunch break to relax at Lotus Pug Yoga on March 26. They used just an hour of their day to find their inner athlete. If an hour is all it takes, why not?

I’m setting a goal for Wyoming Valley Sport Shot: highlight athletes that are doing awesome things. Let us know about an athletic goal you or your team reached or an event you’re hosting in the area. We’ll be there highlighting your awesome accomplishments. Doing what makes you feel awesome was apparent in the eBay office. We welcome your suggestions and comments and want to know what’s going on in the athletes of the Wyoming Valley. While I know I have some pretty large shoes to fill, I’m up for the challenge–and feeling awesome about it. - Ellen Hoffman
