The South High School Band: A Big Part of School Spirit in Cheyenne
The South High School Band in Cheyenne, Wyoming is more than just a group of students who play music, it’s a key part of what makes the school special. The band is known for its energy, school pride, and the hard work its members put into their performances. Whether they’re playing at football games, pep rallies, or concerts, the South High Band helps make these events exciting and memorable. It’s not just about the music; it’s about bringing the school and community together through the power of music. Diego had this to say about winning state: “I really loved how all the bands
came together, it was really cool! We all played our best, there was really no winner because I believed we all won! The South Band did really well, I’m proud of all of us!”

Being in the band is about more than just playing music—it’s about building friendships, learning discipline, and developing confidence. Band members become close friends and learn how to work as a team. Plus, the skills they pick up in band, like time management and persistence, help them in other areas of life. Laramie County DUI Victim Impact Panel will be held January 27.
