Easter Egg Hunt

The City of Cheyenne’s Community Recreation and Events Division will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Holliday Park, Saturday, April 8, behind the Art House on East 19th Street. Join in the early morning fun and gather as many eggs and candy bars as you can! This egg-citing hunt for Easter eggs will be for children ages 2-8 years old and will begin at 10:00am sharp! Children will be separated into groups based on their ages, and all participants from each age group will have a chance to win a special Easter basket if they find the golden egg that holds a special note inside. As a reminder, please bring a basket or bag to collect the eggs. Parents with children ages 3 and under may help their child(ren) during the hunt. However, we ask that children 4 and older find eggs independently. As an additional treat for your little ones, the Easter Bunny will be on-site to take pictures, shake hands, and make friends with them. Online Public Records Request Program Roll Out

The City of Cheyenne and the Cheyenne Police Department are pleased to announce an online public records request program designated for residents. The new program is set to launch on Friday, March 31. Visit the City of Cheyenne’s website to access the program and information relating to public records requests. There are two options available, one for the Police Department and one for the City of Cheyenne, which includes the Cheyene Fire Rescue Department. The program will have additional information on where to find commonly requested public information as well as FAQ information. Pursuant to Wyoming State Law, the City of Cheyenne has thirty days to comply with public records requests, there may be charges associated with public records requests.

Maybe you should look into joining the Scouts! Cheyenne area youth from 10-17 are invited to explore scouting with two of Cheyenne’s foremost troops. Scouting BSA (the Boy Scouts) is now open to both boys and girls. Both troops offer monthly camping opportunities, community service opportunities, the world famous merit badge programs and the possibility of progressing through the ranks to the coveted Eagle Scout rank. Scouting isn’t for everyone, but maybe it might be for you. Come on out and see what it is all about.

Laramie County DUI Victim Impact Panel will be held May 22.
