Blankets For Laramie County Kids The Blankets for Laramie County Kids, under the umbrella of Laramie County Community Partnership began in 2001 to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are ill, traumatized or otherwise in need, through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans lovingly created by volunteer “Blanketeers.â€? Since then, more than 8,000 blankets have been delivered to children in need, in Cheyenne and Laramie County. Historic Ranch Tour Series Through a generous partnership with the Marie Jordan Bell Fund and Delta Kappa Gamma, Upsilon Chapter, the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum is continuing its work to create programs which focus on western culture and ranch life. Each Ranch Tour will have a trolley ride from the Museum to the ranch, with a presentation on the history of Laramie County Ranches, ranch life and the ranch’s connection with Cheyenne Frontier Days. The tour includes a picnic lunch on the ranch property. Saturday, August 24, 10:00am-2:00pm, they will visit the Harding and Kirkbride Livestock Company.
