Cheyenne Frontier Days Cattle Drive Cheyenne Frontier Days will drive nearly 550 head of Corriente steers from the pasture north of Cheyenne along I-25 and through the city streets into Frontier Park on Sunday, July 14. The drive begins at approximately 7:15am at the intersection of 1-25 and Horse Creek Road, north of the city. It then moves along I-25 on the eastern frontage road to Hynds Boulevard, turns south to Central Avenue to Kennedy Road, then moves from Kennedy Road to Carey Avenue and into Frontier Park. The Wyoming Highway Patrol will not allow parking along I-25 at any time during the Cattle Drive.

LCFD #1 Residency Program The Laramie County Fire District #1 (LCFD #1) is seeking college students for its residency program. Applicants selected will receive free tuition for four semesters of college and books. Free room and board is also provided. Students must be enrolled in college and be working toward either a Fire Science or EMS related degree. The work schedule is two days on shift and four days off. LCFD #1 is currently looking for up to four resident positions. LCFD #1 has the highest call volume in the county and offers unlimited training for free in a variety of topics: hazmat, rope rescue, technical rescue, hazardous materials.
