Registration is open for the City of Cheyenne Men’s and Women’s fall Volleyball Leagues. The league will be separated into men’s and women’s leagues, then into different divisions for all skill levels. Games will be played primarily at the Eastridge Facility at 1780 East Pershing Boulevard. Late registration is running August 13-26 where a $50 late fee will be added. After August 26 registration will be closed. The cost of the league is $420 per team. The season will span 12 weeks, with ten games guaranteed plus a single elimination tournament seeded based on regular season standings. The season will start Monday, September 13, playing Monday-Thursday evenings. The Laramie County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is introducing a new hybrid CERT Basic Course for anyone interested in learning about preparedness and/or becoming a CERT volunteer. Youth Alternatives 50 for 50 Campaign

The Butler Family Foundation and Youth Alternatives are partnering to commemorate the office of Youth Alternatives 50th Anniversary by launching a 50 for 50 campaign. Effective March 1 through the end of the calender year. The goal is to raise $50,000 for Youth Alternatives’ 50 years of service. Proceeds from this campaign will be applied to The Friends of Youth Alternatives Endowment which aids with program related costs and provides sustainability of the much-needed services to youth and families at no charge. The Butler Family Foundation would like to challenge Cheyenne to donate to this worthy cause and will match donations up to $25,000.
