Laramie County School District 1

Laramie County School District 1 (LCSD1) is hosting the community outreach program Navigating Laramie 1 (NL1) for the third consecutive year.

Community members and parents who are interested in learning more about LCSD1 are encouraged to apply to participate in this interactive and informative program.

The program, which lasts five months, is designed to take community members and parents on a journey throughout the district. Through monthly, threehour educational activities, participants will learn more about the district, make connections and increase their involvement with the district and schools.

NL1 will provide participants with the opportunity

to understand how the district works, what LCSD1 does and what LCSD1 believes in. Former graduating class members gained knowledge about the district and recommend that anyone interested in being more involved with LCSD1 apply.

James Yates, president of First Education Federal Credit Union, who participated in NL1’s Class of 2023 mentioned that this community outreach program is informative and fascinating.

“From the complexity of the district’s finances to the dedication of the educators to our students, each session of Navigating Laramie 1 was fascinating. I recommend the program to anyone living in our community,” Yates said.

Space is limited and participants will be selected for the program following an application process.

Braver Angels Alliance Host Community Panel

Laramie County Library System is partnering with the Braver Angels Alliance to host a panel exploring solutions to reduce racial/ethnic tensions in Laramie County. Could you use an extra $300-$400 a month? The Wyoming Senior Companion Program is looking for men and women to provide free assistance to any adult age 21 and over who may need help in order to remain living independently at home. The Wyoming Senior Companions are volunteers over 55 who act as a friend and assist adults with simple tasks which are often impossible for some persons to accomplish on their own.
