Tree of Remembrance Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Hospice and the CRMC Foundation held the 23rd annual Tree of Remembrance lighting ceremony on Saturday, December 1, inside Frontier Mall near Dillard’s West. “The tree offers the community a chance to celebrate the many ways that others have impacted and blessed our lives,� said David Stratton, CRMC’s hospice chaplain. “It’s also a way to celebrate the season by remembering and honoring those in our lives who we have lost but who continue to hold a very special place in our hearts.� Hospice volunteers will be handing out doves at a booth near the tree through Sunday, December 23. There is no cost to place a dove on the tree, a donation can be made to the CRMC Foundation, with all proceeds to be given to CRMC Hospice. East High School News Drama Takes the Stage for the State Competition

By Thunderbolt Staff East High Drama once again stepped up and put on a show to remember in preparation for State Drama. The school’s drama department performed “Sorry, Wrong Numberâ€? in October. The one-act play originally was written for radio but has been rewritten for the stage. The play is performed in an arena style, with the audience on all four sides of the performance. The play centers on Leona Stevenson, who is the spoiled, bedridden daughter of wealthy businessman James Cotterell. One day, while listening to what seems to be a crossed telephone connection, she hears two men planning a woman’s murder. The call cuts off without Leona learning very much other than it is scheduled for late at night, when a passing train will hide any sounds. She calls the telephone company and the police, but with few concrete details, they can do nothing. Complicating matters, her husband Henry is overdue and their servants have the night off, leaving her all alone in a Manhattan apartment. Maeve Knepper, who plays the chief operator in addition to serving as an assistant director with senior Kathryn Dobson, said that performance style is one of her favorite things about the play. ´,¡YH QHYHU GRQH DQ DUHQD SOD\ EHIRUH DW (DVW VR LW¡V GHĂ€QLWHO\ D

With the popularity and success of this program, it’s not uncommon to see two 50-man busses loaded with T-Birds headed down the highway to the next competition, but what is extraordinary is the fact that the Thunderbirds return home with more than 50 individual awards from each meet. The time, focus and energy required of these competitors will pay off at the State Speech and Debate Meet in early March in Riverton. These T-Birds expect to dominate. East High Speech is clearly setting the tone for Wyoming.

Annual Hillsdale Christmas Parade Experience a Christmas celebration in a small town setting Saturday, December 15.
