X-Section Journal
X-Section Journal is a student run creative collaborative that annually produces an academic journal containing contemporary work and articles from fellow students, alumni, faculty members and creative industry leaders in the field of Landscape Architect. This year, the fifth instalment of X-Section Journal will explore and examine the topic of emergence in the landscape through research, written or visual processes such as articles, case studies, photo essays and collages. Emergence recognises and utilizes influential and defining trends in landscape architecture. The constant interaction between landscape and its context provides dynamic and unpredictable feedback; responding to this evolution presents an impetus for future-proof, resilient design solutions. What challenges and opportunities do these ideas present for landscape architects as we reshape the future through the design of landscapes?
