Roof Detail

Pulau Banding Rainforest Research Centre has used steel metal deck as roofing. (Pulau Banding Rainforest Research Centre / C' arch, 2014) The construction of the roof used mild steel rafter and mild steel C-channel. It also uses mild steel beam to support the roof rafter and metal deck roofing. The roof’s edge is covered by steel fascia board. (PEOPLE. THINK. SPACE., n.d.)

The roof has timber strip ceiling panel and connected to steel rafter using timber barrier and nailed. The edge between wall and roof is covered by slanted timber ceiling. The connection between wall and roof beam is connected and supported by mild steel hollow section.
