Understand the Structure of Smartphone Power and Charging Circuit

Power supply and charging circuit are the power core of the smartphone, the battery by power supply distribution circuit for the smartphone each unit to charge, the charger through the charge control circuit to the battery charge, but also for the each unit circuit power supply. Smartphone power and charging circuit is mainly composed of power management chip and charge control chip and other components. (Figure 1-1 is the Nokia N95 smartphone power and charging circuit). So we found that the circuit is consisted of the switch button S4416, power management chip N4200, charge control chip N2300, audio signal processing and power management chip N2200.

1. Switch Button The smartphone's switch button is used to power on or off. There are usually two ways to install, one is a compound press key switch, the other is a separate press key switch. The phone display will show the phone to start or close the interface. 2. Power Management Chip Power management chip is the role to process voltage. And output 1.05V, 1.35V, 1.8V, 2.8V, 1.5V, and 0.5V and other different voltage values to charge the circuits for the subsequent stage. 3. Audio Signal Processing and Power Management Chip Audio signal processing and power management chip is the role of auxiliary power management chip, it will

process the voltage, then to charge for each unit circuit of the smartphone. 4. Charge Control Chip When using the charger to charge the smartphone, the charge control chip will charge the battery and detect the charge voltage. Tips: Some smartphone power and charging circuit is relatively simple, will only use a power management chip.
