iPhone Problems: No Ringer Sound Does you have these experience that the iPhone is suddenly not ringing on incoming calls, or making any sounds when a new message arrives. Hence, I's like to share some tips and tricks regarding to this issue.

Why does my iPhone can't ring? Perhaps you made some changes in iPhone settings and you enabled "Do not disturb". A software glitch can be responsible for the problem, but this annoying issue can also appear right after you update the iOS software on your iPhone. Water damage or the fact you dropped your device are among the reasons that can cause iPhone not ringing issue.

1. Remove iPhone Case There are so many iPhone cases out there, designed mostly for protection purpose. Some of them have a thick design and not fit the iPhone properly. Check if the case you are using for your iPhone doesn’t cover the ring/silent switch. Remove that case completely from your iPhone, and see if that makes any difference.

2. Switch Ring Switch You may have overlooked whether or not the ring/silent switch is set to silence the ringer. The ring/silent switch is above the volume switch. If you can see orange on this switch, it's set to vibrate. Switch it to ring.

3. Turn Up the Volume Be sure not to overlook that the volume buttons on the side of the iPhone controls the ringer. From the Home screen, press the "Volume Up" button and ensure the volume is set to an appropriate level.

4. Try a Reset

Sometimes you might need to reset the iPhone to get it working correctly again. You can do this by pressing and holding the "Power" and "Volume Down" buttons simultaneously ("Power" and "Home" on older devices) for about 5 seconds. After holding the buttons, the iPhone should shut off. From there, simply power it back on and give the ringer another try.

5. It's Stuck in Headphones Mode Another common issue with iPhone users who have ringer issues is that the device is stuck in "Headphones Mode". This happens when the iPhone seems to detect headphones plugged into the device. Read our post, "iPhone or iPad Stuck with No Sound" for tips on how to fix this issue.

6. Switch Off The Bluetooth Try to switch off the Bluetooth to make sure your iPhone is not connected to any accessories, such as speakers or Bluetooth headphone. You can turn it off by going to Settings > Bluetooth.

7. Update the IOS Software update always comes with improvements, bug fixes, and new features. It some cases, the problem can be solved by updating the iOS on your iPhone to the new version.
