f you’ve not been to a SPUR Adventure Duo, like EVER, then Lourensford is certainly not the worst place in
the world to start. As one of the competitors said after the event: “I dug that race stukkend”!

very single thing conspired on the day to make it a perfect event: the stunning venue at Lourensford Wine Estate; an absolute beaut
of a Cape day; a competitive field of athletes; and a course that harked back to proper, old-skool adventure racing, with loads of rock
fields, stretches of sand, river crossings and a cool-down dam swim on the run.

enerally the AR Sprint enthusiasts (and a good few triathlon racing snakes) go for the Long
Course (25-30km MTB + 6km Trail Run), while the FFBs (Family & Fun Brigade) get stuck into the noholds-barred joie de vivre of the great outdoors.
