It was freezing fantastic “ IThe frigid temperatures at the start did nothing to deter the furious pace set by the hard hitters in the MTN Ultra Marathon over the early part of the race� THE ACTION
Our production crew on the MTN National MTB Series driven by Nissan wrote in the frost for their opening sequence highlighting just how cold it was at the start

Rocky rumble
“ As the name suggests Van Gaalen Cheese Farm is a working dairy farm where making cheese is a speciality. On Saturday we also found out that, apparently, this is also where rocks are made…” Ben-Melt Swanepoel
THE ACTION The climb is called concrete collision but the tough technical rocky sections near the top op the concrete road is the real challenge
THE SHOT I waited close to the top of the climb and used the wide angle to almost get under the approaching rider to catch the action with the terrain in full view

THE SHOT I had to work hard for this shot, not only did I have to wait for the water to be perfectly still I also scale the rockface to a secluded vantage point low enough to get the reflection and lighting right
