take the country back to God.” “I wish to remind each one of us that God has never abandoned
Kenya,” he said, adding: “Maybe we have abandoned God but if we all put our contribution and avoid careless
utterances in radio or public rallies, we will be moving towards the right direction.” Before he spoke, Mr Kenyatta
and Ruto led the nation in singing popuar gospel song Blessed Assurance.
