Sonko asks court to stop Kidero plans on city roundabouts
N
airobi senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko has filed a court petition seeking to stop the county government from reconfiguring roundabouts on the city’s major highways.
In an application which was certified as “urgent” by High Court judge Justice Mumbi Ngugi, Sonko argues that closure of parts of Lusaka, Bunyala and Westlands round-abouts had affected traffic flow on Uhuru Highway. The disruption, he argues, has
caused displeasure to a majority of members of the public. He has asked the court to order that the roundabouts be permanently restored.
