evolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru has ruled out stepping aside from her position amid intensifying calls for her to do so by the opposition over corruption allegations
at the National Youth Service. Ms Waiguru who spoke on Citizen TV last night said she cannot step aside because the matters being investigated have nothing to do with her.
“The issue of stepping aside is dependent on whether or not an individual has been directly implicated in a corruption scandal, which I have not,” she said. The minister instead said she is the whistle-
blower on the suspicious transactions being investigated. “I am the whistle-blower of the alleged scandal at NYS and do not understand how I have turned to be the victim. MORE ON PAGE 2
